This pleases me because she really fidnt understand what money really stood for. We buy her stuffed friends and then we take them to eat!lol

She really likes pressing the buttons and entering her "pin" number, which we were able to customize just for her. The included ATM card is a nice addition, and it helps her roleplay and imagine that she's taking money out to go shopping. This is a great toy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great educational tool! My kids, ages 10 and 6, spend hours playing with this! It was easy to get out of the package and my kids were able to start playing with it right away, the directions to get started were clear and easy for them to understand. They are learning how "money in the bank" works. They have also been using it to play store. I like how the machine counts the coins, it would be nice if it counted bills too, but that it doesn't helps my kids work on their adding skills so it's a win either way! My older daughter, works on adding and subtracting, while my younger son is really mastering the value of coins.

This toy is also cutting edge just like the real ATM machines. This ATM does come with its own bills and coins. I found that the ATM caught my attention when the machine started saying each coin individually and listed their value on the screen. This is a great hands-on learning toy and will help children with teaching/counting/ addition/subtraction. A fun educational toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this ATM machine & money to be highly engaging right from the get-go for my grandsons ages 6 and 4. To be able to use some of the features, it does require that an adult or older child read the directions for the younger ones to get them started (i.e. explaining a PIN and how to enter the default or set your own; how to enter the ATM card, etc). The bills and coins that come with the ATM machine are very realistic - I even got fooled once when I saw a bill on my kitchen counter; had to look twice to determine whether it was real or not. This ATM machine is one that can grow with the child. It can just be a fun experience for the younger child just putting the money in and out, inserting the ATM card, hearing the coins register, etc. As the child matures, though, a lot of authentic math can be completed with counting the money and making "purchases". As mentioned in other reviews, the ATM machine only tracks the coins; bills must be computed by hand - which is where the real math comes in. I would recommend this ATM for use in a home or school setting.

Our 2 year old loves putting the coins in the coin slot over and over again. Our 2nd grader likes to add the money and hear it speak the new total, and our other 2 boys in the middle play with it as well. The coins and bills are quite life-like. The bills are paper, so may rip in the near future, but haven't yet. And unfortunately when you insert them into the bill slot, they don't get counted automatically like the coin slot does. There is a debit card that goes with it, but if you loose the card, it still allows you to play with it, which we are grateful for! Our boys also use this as a cash register and have been playing store quite a bit lately. This ATM is a fun and interactive toy that will get used a lot more in the future! Rated 3 out of 5 by from fun product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this product was for a 4 year old. we like how it will auto add the coins that are put in however for any bills that you put in you need to add it to your amount yourself, and for the younger children they do not know how to do this yet. with that being said, they can keep it for when they are learning math and use I then.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A talking ATM that teaches money sense I picked out this ATM for my 11 year old son who is on the autism spectrum. He is using the play money and the dollar up method in school, so I thought this ATM would be a good way to work on money skills at home. The ATM does come with its own play money including bills and coins that can be used on their own separate from the ATM. My son was a little unsure about the ATM at first and all of its noises, but once he started putting in coins in the ATM started saying "quarter", "dime", "penny" he became very engaged. A great educational feature of the ATM is the fact that not only does it identify the coins but it also lists their value on the screen. This way you have hands-on, audio, and visual reinforcement. This toy Bank is very useful for dramatic play and teaching kids about money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my children (ranging in age from 2 to 9) saw this box in the living room, it was the oldest who first ran to open it. The box is pleasing to the eye; the plastic front allows the children to see the actual toy inside rather than a photo. The ATM machine comes with paper and plastic coin money, a plastic ATM card, and the machine itself. The pieces can all be stored inside the machine when not in use. Though smaller, it is similar to the LR pretend and play cash register (with the added benefit of recording coin value as coins are deposited). It has a voiced or silent mode of operation. The ATM card can be inserted and a pin number set, though if (when!) your child forgets the pin, it's easy to either bypass or change. It's just a fun feature of the toy! My pre-schooler plays on her own quite a bit, counting the money as she puts it in the machine. It can also be used when playing "grocery store" or any other imagination-based play that uses money. Another feature I like is that the machine turns off after a few minutes of non-use, which saves on battery power. I appreciate that it can double as a bank, and actually counts the real coins deposited! It does not, however, recognize actual paper currency (or even the toy paper currency that came with the ATM machine). The three older kids play with this on a semi-regular basis. When used with actual coins, it will help to teach the value of the coins deposited in a fun way. The only change I would make to the construction or design of the machine would be to add a drawer to catch the money deposited. As it is, coins and paper currency fall to the inside of the bottom of the machine, so when the drawer door is opened, the money could spill out. A drawer would help keep the money inside until physically removed by your child. Note: I received this product as part of an incentivized review program.

My children couldn't wait to get started as soon as they saw the package in my car. The packaging was sturdy and pleasing to the eye. I was thrilled with how well made the ATM was constructed. It stood up to the rough and tough play of my very busy and not so gentle 18 month old son. The instructions were clear and made it easy for us to get started playing right away. I loved that it gave us suggested learning activities to help enhance our play time. Both of my children couldn't get enough of this product. There were literal tears shed when their turn was over. I am always looking for educational toys that are fun as well as teach a skill or a concept. This ATM was versatile in many ways. My 4 year old was learning and practicing the coins and their value while my 18 month old was using his fine motor skills to put the coins into the slot. We spent hours role playing and incorporating the ATM into our creative play. I will definitely recommend this product to all of my friends with children of all ages!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2 year old received 3 toys from Learning Resources and this was the first one he picked to play with of the 3 and keeps going back to it time and time again. The packaging is helpful since you do not need tools to take the product out of the box. The life-size money is VERY realistic (easy to mistake for real at a glance) which allows the kids to start recognizing Presidents on each bill. The ability to roll the bills in either "hamburger" or "hotdog" style let's little ones work on their motor skills as well as their patience. Double win! The discussions around withdrawals, deposits, saving, counting, math skills have already begun and I only imagine they will continue as he gets older. Once I put batteries in, he put it on the floor, laid down and played with it for almost an hour straight...and then went back again later in the evening! If I had to make any recommendations/changes it would be to add a little handle at the top so the little kids can carry it around easier than hugging it to their body. Other than that, slam-dunk!
