Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hesitant but well worth it I was hesitant to buy this set at first because I had never purchased one at this price point; however I was never once hit with buyers remorse and throughout my entire 6 hours of building it, I enjoyed myself plenty. Makes for a colorful display for my book shelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Purchase This set is a great edition to any collection regardless of what existing collection IS. Especially for fans of Indiana Jones. I bought this for the nostalgia of the old sets from my early childhood I never could afford (because I was a small child). I’m hoping they release that temple of doom set one day, or more remasters from the original line. I would recommend this set to literally everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly Detailed Indy Set I can’t say enough good things about this set. Aside from the Flying Wing and The Temple of Doom sets, I own/have owned every Indiana Jones set made. (I sure wish I had kept all of them!) Let me start with “complaints” first, because this set definitely needs to end on a positive note. For the price, there should have been more than 4 mini figures and a skeleton. I understand that there are only so many people in this famous scene, but an extra warrior, guide, or even Jock with a fishing pole would have made me feel better about the price point. “Escape From the Lost Tomb” came with the same number of mini figures. Besides that, I wish there had been a few more printed pieces instead of stickers. Okay, that’s where the complaints stop. For a real Lego/Indiana Jones fan, you absolutely can’t go wrong with this set! I would definitely buy the set again if something happened to mine. The attention to detail and the moving parts really make this set next level. I was so impressed by the engineering/design of this set! The light element piece over the Golden Idol is such a cool touch and don’t even get me started on the boulder design; genius! I love that this is an 18+, diorama style set. It makes us 40 something “kids” feel like we are buying a display model of a classic movie scene, though I’d be lying if I said I never played around with it. Ha. I love the plaque with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” written on it, along with the quotes. I love how each section is built and then hooked firmly together. (Did I mention how much I love the light element and the boulder?!) The figures are detailed as well. Satipo has tarantulas on his back, Indy has a face full of spider webs on one side, and Belloq even has back sweat and armpit stains! Great attention to detail for one of the most iconic opening movie scenes out there. If you are on the fence about this one, like I was, do yourself a favor and just get it. I’m actually displaying mine it is so well done. Despite my complaints at the beginning, I can handle only 4 mini figures and some stickers for this thing. There is no comparison, in my humble opinion, between this one and the original Golden Idol Temple set. This wins, hands down! My only true gripe is that they only released 3 Indy sets total and none of them had to do with “The Dial of destiny.” Oh well, maybe one day. I wish they would have remade the Temple of Doom set because it would be on display beside this one. I hear they didn’t make it because of religious symbolism, but this set is, indeed, called “Temple of the Golden Idol.” Am I missing something, or does this portray religious symbols as well? Oh well, I’m just glad they made it. If you are worrying about your investment, just look and see what the original goes for! Thanks for giving me a piece of my childhood and one of my favorite movies in Lego form; I can’t stress enough how amazing the engineering is on this set. Thank you, Lego!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Display Piece I had the privilege of participating in the Indiana Jones show at Disney Hollywood a number of years ago. That was way before Covid and they pulled audience members to be extras. This build reminded of that experience as this is the opening act. The build is not overly complicated and I really like how the action pieces go together. I didn't have any issues but a couple of steps made me concetrate on how the pieces fit together. Would recommend to any Indy fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous set for Indy fans like me This set is beyond beautiful. It is inventive, high quality, and challenging without being difficult. It works great as both a display and a playable playset. The only possible complaint I have is that some of the spaces are small to try and reach your hand into, but given that this set straddles the line between a playset and a display set I can forgive that little point. Grab this set and play the Indiana Jones soundtracks while putting it together. You will have a wonderful time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Welcome Return For Lego Indy The builds, minifigures, and play features are all absolute perfection. This is definitely the best diorama Lego has ever created. I hope more Indiana Jones sets come in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s a ‘MUST BUY, MUST BUILD!’ I have built 3 dioramas over the holidays and all have been worth the money, worth the time and each came out looking amazing. But this one takes the cake! It is an incredible set and so clever how they designed the stone faces, the mechanics/technics (including illumination!), the colors and the mini figs. This is a great set for the Disney fan, a fantastic set for the Lego fan and and an ultimate set for the INDIANA JONES fan!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A True Piece of Art This set is amazing! I have always loved two main things when it comes to Lego: display-ability and function, and this set is the perfect mix. I haven't built a set that mixes being fascinating to look at and so fun to fiddle with so incredibly well in a long time. It's a little expensive, but trust me, it's more than worth it.
