I’ve received the wrong order and I’m disappointed
I bought the orchid cone yarn but instead I get wool ease by lion brand. I was really excited to get started on a new project but this pushes back my plans. I thought it would be more convenient to order online around the holidays than going in store but it’s not. It’s better to just walk in and pick what I asked for than to wait for the wrong product.

I think I would have liked this yarn but Joann’s just cancelled my order after weeks of waiting. Supposedly it’s available to order online but. Or at the price I purchased it at. I am done with Joann’s, at least online. They cancelled numerous items and still “processing” others that I had ordered as gifts.

Item cancelled by Joann today after weeks of waiting. Ironically it’s still available online but of course not at the sale price it was at when I ordered. I have been so frustrated with Joann’s online ordering. Many of my items were cancelled by them and they are still “processing” some Christmas items that I will no longer need.

Great cotton yarn but colors are off
I just got my yarn and while I will use it, the chocolate ombre does not look like the picture. It has the white and dark brown but the light brown is more of a greenish brown. If I had known the color difference, I would not have bought it. Great yarn though if color does not matter.

I brought this yarn last fall . It is kinda of expensive, but if you look at how much yarn for the price it will end up costing you more if you brought a smaller skan of the same thing.

Knots and bleeds
I'm working with 2 different cones of Sugar and Cream, my Holly Jolly was purchased at JoAnn's, my Nautical was purchased through the big A.
Both cones are full of knots, not occasional knots. Knots I've been experiencing with both cones require that I stop every few rows to properly join the thread. My yarn loss is running approximately 4+ yards per cone.
I treat my cotton dishcloths by soaking in 1:1 vinegar soak before washing to prevent bleeding. I soak for approximately one hour. This has worked well with the Nautical colorway.
The Holly Jolly colorway on the other hand is an absolute nightmare with bleeding. The pictures others have posted are not an exaggeration. This morning I tried soaking one dishcloth and it immediately turned pink, a bright pink. The wine speckle now ranges from bright red to hot pink. I tried soaking in Dawn dish detergent to remove the dye that bled but this time it didn't work. I hadn't seen the reviews because this specific color was requested by one of my customers.
My second dishcloth, I mixed up 3:1 vinegar/water and put it in the refrigerator. When the mixture hit the dishcloth, the wine speckles bled but not as badly as the first.
Both dishcloths are in a new soak of Dawn, Oxyclean and color catchers.
STAY AWAY from the Holly Jolly if you don't want your hard work wasted. This version is not worth it even with a 50 or 60% coupon.
I'm not sure if Synthrapol will help with cotton and need to do more research. It may not be cost effective as the profit margin for dishcloths is not high in the first place.

Strong cotton, but not soft
I used this Lily Sugar'n Cream cotton in the "Ahoy" color to make 2 pillows. I think it holds up wonderfully for home decor! Pillows are comfortable and easy to brush off with a lint roller. Working with the yarn, be warned that it is rough on your fingers, so use lotion. End result is worth it though!

Making dish cloths etc
Great for dish cloths and towel tops but I also use it to make great, cool summer shawls. They are just warm enough to help fight off the cold when sitting in a room with the AC going full blast at 74 degrees - burr!!!!

Holly Jolly Color Wave
Very disappointed. Bought six Sugar 'n Cream cones of cotton this summer, planning to crochet table runners for Christmas gifts. Just finished the first table runner, washed in ice cold water to block this morning and...the red color ran! Horribly. Very disappointed. I've already thrown my receipt away, so I cannot return remaining cones. I've never had this problem with Sugar n' Cream before today.

Ecru cotton yarn
I have always used ecru colour when doing certain projects & I've never had a problem finding it until now! Soft ecru is to "pink" to be ecru. Pls continue to offer "regular" ecru!!!

Love the colors!
The colors in the Key Lime Cotton Yarn were so pleasing and made a lovely French Market Bag. The cotton didn't unravel while crocheting and the colors were consistent thru the entire cone. Note that there is 674 yards per cone, not 706 as indicated.

No knots or flaws on the whole cone
The thickness is consistent throughout, and I haven't found a single knot or join anywhere on the cone.
The label says to wash separately, because "some colors may run" and that's definitely true, including the colors on the cream yarn with spots of brown/orange/green bleeding on itself (I may just have to wash it again and see, but after hand washing and blocking I noticed the difference from unwashed swatches.)
I've noticed that the size varies between colors - the cone I have with dark blue works well with 5mm needles for me, but the cream with brown/orange/green spots is slightly thinner and works better with 4.5mm needles.
It's really a pleasure to work with though, no issues with splitting and the cone makes tangling non-existent. I have no complaints about quality, but I mention the above because if I were to use two colors in a project I would want to know that the blue is thicker than the cream with spots, and the colors bled when I washed the cream one. I haven't finished anything with the blue enough to know if it would bleed as well, however.

East Headband laurel & long scarf
Great cotton yarn makes lovely head band laurels & scarves. Love the “Woodland trail” color has blends of avocado greens, cool browns, creams & rusty orange. Could make slip dresses, shawls, dainty summer sweaters too! Laurel pattern is 12 sc, 4bpdc, 4fpdc, 4 bpdc, 4fpdc.bpdc(back post double crochet =bpdc, front post double crochet=fpdc). Enjoy!

Extremely Disappointed in Quality Received!!!!
I ordered a cone of Lily Sugar'n Cream Cotton yarn on 9/21/20. When the package was received on 10/1/20, I opened it to find that the cone of cotton yarn had seven ends hanging off. This is NOT the quality that I expect to receive from Joann's. Even though the other 3 yarns I ordered arrived in fine condition, I am extremely dis-satisfied. If the outside of the cone of yarn is in this bad of shape, what will the inside be like, AND how many SMALL lengths of yarn will I need to deal with?

I Love Sugar'n Cream Cone Cotton Yarn
