Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! I’ve made so many tops from this yarn and plan to make more!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good yarn but beware of ordering online Definitely listen to reviews because they’re right. I placed an order for multiple skeins each of 5 different colors of this yarn, and each color was shipped individually and arrived on different days (except for one which is half a week late already and still has no estimated delivery date). Not only is this inconveinent and bad for the environment, I’ve had a problem with packages being stolen so worrying about being home to get all these separate packages immediately on different days rather than just one was/is a bit annoying and stressful. I wish I had a Joanns near me so I could avoid this by going in person but sadly I don’t so if I really want Lily Sugar n’ Cream I guess I’ll have to deal with this. For the yarn itself, the colors are beautiful, it’s durable, and feels like good quality, however it does split pretty easily and it’s harder to work with (not sure if it’s just the cotton or this brand because it’s my first time using both). So far have used Faded Denim for a crochet headband bandana and it turned out great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bigger is better This cotton yarn is a staple of my stash. It’s a work horse and I use it for many utilitarian items, especially around the house. It’s great that it comes in such a wide range of lovely colors as well. I especially like this larger size…I definitely use it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I ordered! This is not the shipment I received. I I nly received 2 big twists in burgundy, not even what I ordered. Needed the big skien of Caron today to finish a project... order was one Caron skien and 5 skiens of cotton, plz rectify this asap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to I love this stuff! It always works up to such sturdy crochet tops that really feel like they can stand up to my apartment's washing machine and dryer (inside a garment bag, of course). All my favorite tops are made with Lily and I couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attracts mold I bought a bunch of this yarn to make around 20 coasters or so, and it's great to work with but I found that it breeds mold with just the smallest amount of water, and it doesn't come out with washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this for dish cloths I have five grand-daughters who expect their years supply of dish cloths at Christmas. I like the wide Varity of colors to accommodate their kitchens decor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SONOMA COLOR BUYER BEWARE So about a month ago I bought the Sonoma color to make potholders and coaster for Christmas presents. Flash forward to TODAY(12/16) and I wake up to see if the pieces blocked correctly and almost all of the brown spots have disappeared and ran all over the place. There are now huge splotches of this ugly mold brown color. So in short DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GET THIS COLOR WET. Working with the yarn was fine and I was feeling so confident and happy about them until this morning. Now they look terrible and almost nasty looking. Just a heads up for anyone who likes the Sonoma, it can not CAN NOT get wet or it’s ugly and stains everything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yarn I used it for baby blankets for my grandkids and works well for me. Have pretty colors, but I would like to see solid colors with the same colors on the print ones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color bleeds I have used this yarn for 10+ years for crocheting hot pads, etc., but bought the Sonoma color recently, which is cream with small flecks of medium colors, very pretty. However, I laid the just-finished item down on a white counter that I didn’t realize was damp, and when I picked it up, there were spots of color that had bled onto the counter - and were now bleeding into the cream areas of the yarn. I immediately washed it with a “color catcher” but it is ruined. The label says to wash colors separately, but a cream-colored yarn with small flecks of color shouldn’t bleed so that the tiny flecks ruin the item. That should only apply to solid-color yarn, and probably only to bright or dark colors! Disappointed - and now would hesitate to use any multi-colored yarn of this brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Yarn Decent yarn. It's 100% cotton, but it it kind of rough, so not a good choice for clothing items. Always has a large range of colors and is a pretty reliable yarn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great cotton yarn i love this yarn for making tops. it’s stiff so it’s perfect for keeping everything where it should be

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty color Ordered this in yellow, very pretty color. I was happy it’s not too bright. I’ve used Sugar & Cream before and it has a nice cotton feel, not soft and fluffy but still nice. Great for bags and home goods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great texture The yarn is very breathable and not irritating, so it's great for making garments. I wish there was more per ball so I wouldn't have to buy so much or connect the yarn so much during a project. But quality-wise definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this yarn! I used this yarn to make several stuffed animals for a safari themed nursery. I found all the colors I needed, which is a huge challenge when working in multi color projects. I’m an experienced knitter, but a novice at crochet, and I found this yarn great to work with on the crochet projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good yarn I wanted a cotton yarn and this definitely does the job! I like how stretchy it is. It also just happens to work with the hooks I have (I'm a noob so I didn't realize the same weight yarn across brands could recommend different size hooks!). I wish it came in more colors, only because I rather like it. The stitch definition is pretty good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strange effects on skin I've knitted towels with this yarn, on and off - and any time I knit for a particularly long time my palms and up my fingers start to peel and dry up. Nothing seems to help. Most recently the orange yarn also dyed my fingertips and nails. No pain or irritation but the sensation of a top layer of dead skin that won't rub off isn't pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sugar 'n Cream is perfect for making dish cloths, pot holders, and hot pads! My friend wanted half a dozen snowmen hot pads. Right yarn for the job! Lots of color selection and works up nice!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Splitty tangly coarse yarn I bought a few skeins of this yarn for washcloths for my 2 yr old son. I just hope it softens up in the wash because it is coarse. The plies split; I could not find the proper end to unwind the yarn so it made a ball of spaghetti.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dye mess while working with The berry crush is a dark magenta, not the mauve purple as pictured. The rainforest color is an aqua blue, not the greenish color. I do like this brand, so I gave it 4 stars, BUT while working with the berry crush, the dye got all over my hands. I washed the finish project and 15 hand rinses later, the water was still coming out pink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my ride or die yarn This is the yarn I learned to crochet with, and I still love this yarn many years later. It comes in so many gorgeous colorways and is very pleasant to crochet with. I do wish it was wound a bit better as it does sometimes split, but in terms of affordability, variety, and availability, I have not found a better option. This is the only yarn I am never afraid to buy because I know I will use it, and the yarn that I grab first when I just want to crochet on impulse. If you learned to crochet with acrylic (like a lot of people do) you might feel like this yarn makes it more difficult to regulate your tension, or feel like it's too stiff. This is normal for cotton yarn and it does take some getting used to! If you can be patient with it, you can make so many beautiful projects that are washable and will last years and years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Camo I ordered pink camo and while it is a nice enough color, it sure isn't camo. Has turquoise and light blue along with pink and dark & light green. It looks more like it should be used for baby articles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do not get this yarn wet! It will bleed and ruin everything. I made a tote bag out of this yarn on teal with some white accent. I dampened the yarn to block it out, and the teal bled ALL OVER the white. So much time wasted! What’s the point of cotton yarn that can’t get wet?!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lily cream and sugar yarn This is my favorite yarn for dish rags. I have used this yarn for over 20 years. I have made thousands of them to sell and give gifts. This yarn allows my dishrags to last for many years. Thank you for selling a good quality yarn!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice yarn but inconsistent This is my most purchased and used yarn, however, when making projects using different colors, I find the feel and size of the yarn is very inconsistent. When switching from white to blue jeans you will notice how thin blue jeans and Indigo are. I've noticed with some of the other colors they are very scratchy while and some are soft. It gives the project a look that something is off. I purchased several hoping that it was just my one but they are consistently inconsistent. The price can't be beat when there is a sale which is why I continue to use this yarn. I do love the colors that are not super thin. I would recommend to a friend, but not all the colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cotton Yarn fantastic I bought this cotton yarn 2 weeks ago, I wanted to try something different than acrylic yarn. So I made a French Market Bag, the Cotton yarn from sugar’n Cream worked up beautifully.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute!... I woke up out of a dead sleep at 3 am to buy this yarn, with the only idea in my head of "Must. Make. Cookies. N'. Cream. Cow." Luckily, Joanns had it, purchased it, and eagerly waited. The yarn arrived a few days earlier than expected which is great, but the only thing wrong is that its stained... :/. However, its still useable, just unfortunate its stained considering its mainly white. I don't think the yellow spots were intended, considering I bought the color "Salt N' Pepper". Although, package didn't come ruined, the WHOLE product isn't ruined, still salvageable, just a tad upset its got mystery yellow spots :(
