I bought this yarn for a project and I love the colors! I bought the Mixed Berries color and it is perfect for the scarf that I am making. I would highly recommend it!

Daybreak Crochet Tapestry
I was able to complete this beautiful crochet tapestry following a pattern from Two of Wands. I used this yarn along with a bunch of other and I talk about the entire process in the latest youtube video.

Wonderful yarn!
This is my go-to yarn for crocheted mermaid blankets!! It works up well, is very easy to block, and does fantastic in the washer and dryer! Even though the blankets are crocheted, everyone that I've made one for, says they are very warm!

Frustrating
I have used this yarn several times before. However I am having trouble with this particular color of yarn. The strand separates in some places. It bunches up in parts of the strand & thins out in others causing an irregular appearance of the stitches of my project. It is extremely hard to work with & has caused my knitting to be very slow. I have even tried going up to a larger needle size. If it was a moderately priced yarn, which it wasn’t, I would abandon this yarn & purchase another!

Colorful and interesting yarn
Used one skein of Purple Haze to make a slouchy beanie. Chain start of 53 and SDC for multiple rows. Beanie came out nice. I was aware of the frayed end concerns. Luckily the beanie hid the ends at top. Nice colors fun texture.

poor quality
I previoiusly reviewed this yarn with 2 stars because of inconsistent color and weight. I wrote to the company, but their NY store closed in 2020 and are out of business. There is no other option to contact them and complain about quality. Buyer beware..

inconsistent color and weight
I bought 4 skeins of this yarn to see how it would look for an afgan...each skein looks blue/purple outside with a bit of pink flecks. It starts as what you see, then becomes bright pink for a long time, then tan for another long time, then turquoise. DYE lot is important with this yarn, but still be prepared to be surprised. Also, the turquoise color is considerably lighter weight than the blue/purple, even on the same skein. Only use this yarn if you don't need consistent color OR weight.

Love the yarn, but color is off
As others have said, this yarn is soft and lovely! Just wanted to note for anyone thinking about the Painted Desert colorway that the skein I received does not look like the picture shown online. Before purchasing it, I had looked at examples of projects made using this colorway and seen that it was variable, but mine is quite different even from any of those. It's sort of an ombre orange, yellow, teal, and blue, with a cool brown twisted together throughout it. All other colorways I have tried (pearls, gothic, lagoon, claret) have more or less matched the online pictures.

Wonderful colors, easy to use, horrible for finish
I bought eight balls of this yarn and love how it turned out until finishing the blanket. The yarn ends unravel horribly. I have been working with yarn for over50 years and have never had a yarn that comes undone no matter what I did. Never use it again.

Love/hate?
Well, maybe like/dislike... First, I rodered this online, and the colors of Tudor are nothing like it appeared on my laptop screen. There is no white; just beige, and the blue/pinks barely show in the finished project unlike on the website photo. Kind of muddy. Homespun yarn is fluff with a spiral thread holding it together, and because it's so fluffy it's sometimes hard to see your stitches but you can feel them. The finished project (capelet/wrap) is warm and light, but it's already beginning to fuzz after very little use. If the colors were more accurate, I might rate it a 3. Not sure I'd buy this yarn again because of the fuzzing.

Super soft yarn
This is one of my favorite yarns. Even the solid colors have different hues spun into them and the texture give my projects a special look and feel.

My absolute favorite yarn ever!
This yarn is my absolute favorite yarn! It is dense, springy and soft to the touch. It makes bulky items while still being a medium weight yarn. It is wavy and fun to work with. The color blends are strikingly beautiful. I have made scarves and blankets with many of the colors over the years. Both the striped and mottled kinds of colors are absolutely lovely. As I said, this is my absolute favorite yarn ever. It is pleasure to make items with this yarn. One thing, though, it is very many fine strands loosely twisted into one wavy yarn, so it can spread apart easily as you work it. Be careful as you stitch. However, the items you make do not seem to have the same problem. A huge thumbs up for Lion Brand Homespun Yarn!

suggestions
This yarn makes very beautiful afghans etc. The main drawback is that it frays badly at cut ends. I always tie knots at any cut end then cut the knot off when I weave in ends. To do fringe, if you like the fluffy result fine... don't know how that would hold up after time. I made a poncho once with fringe and tied a knot close to the end of every cut end. Also try to use a pattern with a lot of working in the space for crochet. No advice about knitting.

Soft and warm
This is the only yarn I will use because my fingers are sensitive and other types are too rough to pull through my fingers comfortably. This always makes up nicely once and holds up to repeated washing over time.

Knitting Kittens
I am knitting a pair of kittens and the Lion Brand Homespun Yarn is purrfect for this project. It is soft and pliable and heavy enough not to have the stuffing show through. My great granddaughters (2 & 4) should enjoy them.

Church ladies make Prayer Shawls!
I belong to a church group of women. We meet twice a month. We knit a simple fringed “Prayer shawl”. Your yarn has an awesome color assortment, softness, and gives our shawls cuddling quality. Also, due to wide color choices, your yarn is great for men as well. For all ages.
Minister takes them to shut ins, for new mommies and babies, whatever. Often we add them in a decorative way to the alter. We’ve made hundreds over 12 years and enjoy every minute doing it. Each is blessed.

Lion Brand “Waterfall” yarn
I used this yarn to crochet a shrug/jacket. It looks beautiful, but was a little tricky to work with because the yarn is “curly”.
