Yarn dye lots
I ordered 4 skeins and received 4 different dye lots. The 3 skein batch were also different dye lots and the color difference is very noticeable. Not happy at all

Homespun prayer shawls
I've been knitting prayer shawls with homespun yarn for 20+ years. I enjoy the variety of colors and how they knit up. With this most recent order that was a store pick up, I had to go back to exchange several skeins so that the dye lots would match (3 skeins per shawl). I've noticed that the yarn is thinner with the newer colors. So the shawls are a bit thinner though I still use size 11 needles.

A skein of knots!
I bought two skeins of this yarn to make a scarf for a friend. I pulled out the end, and there were three knots in it! Then the other end got mixed up in it, and when I pulled that end, there was a knot in that one! I spent an hour trying to untangle the mess, and finally just put it away. I grabbed the second skein--no problems at all. I will end up buying another skein and hope THAT one is okay.

"New" Homespun maybe not quite the same.
I have used Homespun for years and loved it but this time several of the skeins seemed to knit up much shorter than usual, even tho they were marked the same number of ounces. Several times in one they had tied a knot, which I then had to cut and when you are making an item that only requires one skein you want it to be continuous without having to hide loose ends, so I was a bit disappointed in those skeins. Others were okay but perhaps quality control has slipped a bit.

Yarn makes a beautiful, soft project. Washes and dries very well. I think the colors are luscious and it’s very easy to crochet with. It’s also very forgiving if you need to tear stitches out and redo.

Discontinued Yarn Color
I love working with the Lion Brand Homespun yarn, especially for hats and scarves, but the color I needed to make a matching hat, Pesto,a beautiful green, has been either unavailable or discontinued. I'm so disappointed! I can't seem to find it anywhere!
