Always check for stains
I bought three skeins of Ice Cream Yarn by Lion Brand to make a baby blanket. The first and second skeins were okay; however, I encountered several knots and there was a stain in the middle of my work. Thankfully, I used a stain-removing spray and washed my blanket which came out clean. Next time, check for stains before purchasing.

Beautiful baby blanket yarn
I prefer the “big scoop” skeins, but got the grape as little skeins because I couldn’t find it in a big skein. I ordered a three skein bundle and received the same dye lot on all three. Took away a star because the thickness varies through the skein. Could be more consistent. Made a lovely blanket.

Lion Brand Ice Cream #3 yarn
I bought this yarn to make a baby blanket to enter into the county fair exhibit in October.
The first skein I used I couldn’t find the beginning end and half the yarn came out of the center in one tangled ball. I had to make a cut in order to get it started.
Secondly, the yarn runs extremely thin in the white sections and thicker in the yellow sections.
Third, I have run into several knots in the first skein.
Fourth, I ended up throwing out 1/8 of the skein due to not being able to get untangled.
Skein #2: I had no problems getting this one started, but shortly after starting, I’ve run into thin spots, thick spots and see attached photo of the blob that has yarn separating and two huge globs of I’m not sure how to explain, a knotted clump.
Well, needless to say, this is not quality yarn to be using for a fair exhibit. I’m very disappointed.

Lion Brand - Get It Together
I love the UBE color way in this yarn, so I bought six skeins to make a sweater… I’ve spent so much time untangling & trying to get each skein into a ball — It honestly makes me want to cry! I think if Red Heart, & Caron can get it right, Lion Brand should be able to as well! The yarn overall is gorgeous and soft but it just hurts my soul that it’s in such a big tangled mess.

Beautiful color .... but .....
I ordered ten skeins of this yarn because I was going to make a bedspread for myself. I got them yesterday and love the color and the softness of it. But.... I spent better than two hours going through each skein looking for an end of the yarn so I could start. Never did find one until I took it all apart and started rolling a ball like we used to have to before companies put the end where it could be found.... If I have to roll every skein, I will and I'll make my spread, but if it comes to getting more, I'll get a solid color to suit and put the varigated part in the middle. I won't be ordering this again, no matter how pretty the colors. I've never been so disappointed in a product and I've been buying from Joann's for many years.

Yarn ends found tied together
Bought the yarn because the colors were super pretty and the texture was soft but upon crocheting I found two ends tied together which messed up my shawl. The yarn also unravels every easily and loosely leading to tangles and what not. Wouldn’t buy again

2 Different Lots of the Lion Brand Ice Cream Yarn Raspberry Ripple
I ordered 6 balls of Lion Brand Ice Cream Yarn Raspberry Ripple. 4 were from 1 lot and 2 were from another. As I was planning to use this on 1 project, I am unhappy about 2 different lots. I probably will not order on-line again.
