Mandala​ fans rejoice! Lion Brand is adding yet another cake to the Mandala collection. Mandala Ombré’s color changes are more subtle than the original: each color gradually blends into the other in both tonal and multi-colored versions. The printing technique allows for some of the cream yarn base to show through, creating a hand-dyed, artisanal effect. Mandala Ombré is slightly thicker than the original, spun with multiple plies of premium acrylic, which give it the look and feel of merino at a fraction of the cost.

Theses ARE NOT 550-600 yards! They are 344 yards! I bought what I thought I needed for a project and here I would need twice the amount! Returning!

Beautiful texture
I think it’s pretty thin for a 4 weight yarn but I love the texture and it works well with another thicker 4 weight yarn for a granny stripe project. I like the color balance, I just wish the color changes were a teeny bit more frequent. The pattern I’m using called for 3 skeins but I think 2 are gonna be just fine.

Not listed at correct weight!
This yarn is very thin and it was listed as #4 but it is not. It is about 1/2 as thick as all other #4 weight yarn I have seen. It is very pretty but I wouldn't pay this kind of money for 1/2 the weight.

Mandala Ombre (Harmony)
I bought this yarn (in the Harmony colorway) last weekend for a hexagon cardigan. It's so soft and pretty. I had one small tangle at the beginning of my skein (I center pull), but it's been smooth sailing since then. It doesn't fuzz (like regular Mandala yarns tend to do). It's a weight 4 yarn, but on the thinner side, similar to Pound of Love.
I paired the Mandala yarn with Big Twist (in Varsity Navy) for the pictured cardigan.

Absolutely LOVE this yarn!
This is my favorite yarn to work with. It's very soft, rarely splits and the few times it has was due to the hook I was using and not the fault of the yarn. The colors are beautiful. It is somewhat "slippery", for lack of a better word, so I highly recommend making a small swatch to get the feel of it prior to starting a project. Once you know how it behaves it's super easy to use. I have noticed that some cakes are considerably different in the amount of colors, for instance, in the 3 pk I'm currently using 1 ball was mostly the blues with just a very small amount of the pinks between the 2 main blue sections and another was the opposite with mostly the pinks. This is not an issue for what I'm making but may be for someone else. It seems to be slightly on the thin 4 weight size and the recommended hook size is an I or 5.5 mm. Depending on what you're making you may be more comfortable using a 4.5 or 5 mm hook. Again I highly recommend making a swatch to check what hook works best for what you're wanting to make. The throw that's pictured all in blue made with the colorway harmony has already been in the laundry and it washed and dried just fine, washed in cold and dried on cool.

Lovely feel
I bought 3 cakes of Joy for a shawl. There was a knot in each one that required cutting the yarn and retieing it to keep the color sequence going. Now I have 3 balls of yarn that is not useable for this project and will require me to purchase at least 2 more cakes. Not a good value for the money and QC needs to step up their game.

Poor quality control
I previously wrote a review about the colors not going the same direction and having to rewind the cakes. I recently purchased another one and the colors change direction in the middle of the cake completely ruining the pattern… how. Why. I wish I had noticed before I purchased it. I’m really disappointed.

Incredibly soft yarn, but not for everyone.
Bought enough cakes of the color Zen for a full sweater, and the yarn is a joy to work with. Warning: If you want a certain color sequence, this yarn might not be for you. The color orders from the same dye lot can vary from cake to cake. But I consider that less of a problem than others seem to. For me, the effect is gorgeous and I look forward to finishing this project.

Love the color and the softness but there's issues
I bought 6 cakes of this yarn in the color Joy. I really love the colors and the softness of the yarn. It's lovely! However, there are flaw with these cakes. In the 6 cakes I bought, four of them had knots which then threw off the sequencing of the colors requiring me to cut apart the yarn. And I had to buy extra yarn because I was missing too many of one specific color, which would have caused issues with the striping of the sweater I am making.

Love the Yarn
I bought this yarn just to try it. Loved the colors. I made this baby car seat blanket. With the right pattern the stripes appeared. The yarn is soft and ply's don't come apart will you're crocheting. My current project I am using the color "Joy". Hope they continue and add more different colors.

I ordered Felicity and it's mostly pink. Not really a problem, I'll still work with it. But it's probably better to pick it out in store yourself to be sure you get the proportions you want.

Super soft, pretty colors
I really like this yarn! It’s very soft so it took some getting used to as I’m more experienced with regular yarn such as red heart but once I got the hang of it I really like it. One issue I have is that the cakes aren’t wound in the same direction so the colors are in the wrong order even though they’re the same dye lot. (See picture one goes blue green orange the other goes orange green blue) Not a huge deal I can just rewind them but a little frustrating. Overall I do really like it!

Love this bright beautiful yarn
I purchased this yarn in the color "happy" because of the bright colors not quite knowing what I would make with it. I decided to try a 1-color fisherman's rib scarf after watching an inspiring video and it's turning out just beautiful. The yarn is easy to work with. Love it
love this yarn. so soft and easy to work with, doesn't split and frogs great. Is really pretty when worked up. I like it best in the round or a scarf like project. Is still pretty in throws and such also.
