Mandala fans rejoice! Lion Brand is adding yet another cake to the Mandala collection. Mandala Ombré’s color changes are more subtle than the original: each color gradually blends into the other in both tonal and multi-colored versions. The printing technique allows for some of the cream yarn base to show through, creating a hand-dyed, artisanal effect. Mandala Ombré is slightly thicker than the original, spun with multiple plies of premium acrylic, which give it the look and feel of merino at a fraction of the cost.

Super soft!
I got this to make hats, and the yarn is super soft, but I definitely wouldn’t call it a four weight…more like a three, so it didn’t work for my hats, but I do really like the yarn!

Lovely yarn
Self drafted pattern for a shawl. I looked up a bunch of used craft books and made something that I could do everyday being a beginner. I needed more color for my everyday clothes. Super soft texture and this brand washed so well over consecutive washes and dryer runs. I always wash accessories in a bag to prevent harm. The purple color shown is chi. It's not hard to keep a few rolls on hand for more projects. Usually I go to the store to see the item, and then use the app to make purchases when the coupons roll out. It is hard to identify texture online however a store visit prevents a lot of doubt.

NOT LISTED CORRECT LENGTH
Theses ARE NOT 550-600 yards! They are 344 yards! I bought what I thought I needed for a project and here I would need twice the amount! Returning!

Beautiful texture
I think it’s pretty thin for a 4 weight yarn but I love the texture and it works well with another thicker 4 weight yarn for a granny stripe project. I like the color balance, I just wish the color changes were a teeny bit more frequent. The pattern I’m using called for 3 skeins but I think 2 are gonna be just fine.

Not listed at correct weight!
This yarn is very thin and it was listed as #4 but it is not. It is about 1/2 as thick as all other #4 weight yarn I have seen. It is very pretty but I wouldn't pay this kind of money for 1/2 the weight.

Review of Lion Brand Mandala Ombre yarn
I enjoy this yarn and have made several projects with it, including small blankets and scarves. It launders very well. I have used all but 3 color ways and love the variegation and pretty colors.
