Mine is good
Some other reviews say negative things about this yarn, but mine is good. It's soft.

I wish I could give it negative stars
This is the first and last time I’ve used this yarn. In 19 rows I have 11 ends thy have to be weaved in because of all the knots I’ve had to cut out of the yarn. I also pulled out the center of the yarn and half of it came out as a separate ball of yarn not attached to the rest. The thickness is inconsistent. The first 7 rows look amazing, the rest you can see through and is so stringy the project has gone in the garbage. I never write reviews but this is so awful it would have been a disservice to not.
That said, Joann’s is great and it’s not their fault this yarn is awful. I will purchase the yarn to remake this project at Joann’s again.

Great Value Yarn
This is a great value yarn and I like it much better than Red Heart Super Saver. It’s also super soft. I haven’t had any issues with yarn splitting or unevenness in width as some others have stated. I did noticed the dark grey was a bit more rough and wool feeling but that was about it. I double up this yarn when crocheting to make my chunky scarves. It is truly cost saving and beats the price of buying bulky yarn.

Horrible
I bought two skeins of this to make a sweater and the first skein I went though, the thickness was so inconsistent in places. There were thick parts where it’s like the yarn wasn’t spun down fully. Then when I started the second skein the yarn was extremely thinner than the first. I had to pull so much of it out and throw it away until I got to a part where the yarn was relatively the same thickness of where my first skein ended. This yarn is garbage and it needs to pulled off the market.

Pound of Frustration!
I won’t be purchasing this yarn again. The first one pound skein didn’t pull from the center and a big mess of about 10-15 pieces each about 10 inches long came out instead. I think this amount of yarn was added at the end to make up the 16 ounce skein. Absolute nightmare! Went to the LionBrand website but wasn’t able to locate a link to contact them and let them know.

My go to yarn
I absolutely love this yarn, I use it for everything! The value and colors are great and it’s definitely better than many other acrylic yarns especially at this price point

In regards to Pastel Green
Definitely closer to a baby blue than green. Thinner yarn than other colors. Splits A LOT. No inside yarn start to be found. Soft, but feels lighter than any other value yarn.

Decent value yarn
The yarn is pretty soft and you get a good amount for the price, but it's better to buy in person. I bought the pumpkin pie color and it was more brown than orange in real life.

Three ends?!? Tangled nightmare.
Ok, I wasn't expecting the greatest yarn for this price, but I've never bought a skein with THREE ends before, none of which seem to work. I'm on row 2, and it's already tangled. The yarn actually feels rather nice, but I think the frustration level on this will be through the roof.

Not consistent
I usually love lion brand yarn. But this last skein I used in mocha was so inconsistent it was almost unusable. The thickness and weight change throughout the skein.

Color is different
The color of this yarn is completely different than the picture. It is darker and dull. Not appropriate for a little girl's dress. It's hard to return with Joann's. I feel stuck with ugly yarn.

My Favorite Acrylic Yarn
Pound of Love is so soft, & works up very nicely. It’s definitely one of the softest 100% acrylic yarns I’ve worked with.

horrible yarn!
i bought the wintergreen color of this yarn, and i loved the color. however the skein tangled so badly, and repeatedly. it was broken into 5 different pieces by the time i got it all untanged and wound into balls. none of those 5 sections of yarn were tied together. all their loose ends got caught up and caused horrid tangles of yarn barf when pulled from the middle. so the second skein i tried pulling from the outside. well the way the skein is wound over the ends, the skein tumbles head over foot each time it unwinds. the gigantic skein cant just stay where you put it like inside a snapware yarn container or special yarn totebag with a grommet for the yarn to pull through. you literally CANNOT pull the yarn up. i had to repeatedly cut away badly spun sections. i will never buy this yarn again. no wonder they keep putting it on sale for so cheap. its crap.

Trash Yarn
I purchased this yarn a few months back and was super dissatisfied with it. Tons of knocks, tangles, barf, a few strands broke altogether. In the process of turning 4 skeins into cakes, I’d say a total of 1 full skein was wasted due to the inferior quality. I swore I’d never buy it again. Yesterday something came over me and I decided to give it another go, and shockingly… same results. This yarn should be pulled from the market.

This is literally one of my favorite yarns. The amount of yards you get in each ball can be more than enough for majority of simple projects. I also always get this yarn because its not too rough and its not like thick its just like a perfect ball of yarn. I would recommend this as baby soft yarn too!!

Garbage yarn at best
this stuff is the worst. it is bunched in little balls inside main skein. much of the yarn is frayed. Not worth the effort at any price. They should be ashamed at selling such garbage.

Nice to work with
I purchased this yarn to make a blanket with and was pleased with the quality. Loved the fact that it comes in a large skein for big projects. Great value for the price and bought it on sale to boot!

Some assembly required
I bought two skeins of this yarn. One seems to be made up of dozens of smaller knotted strands that when untangled range between a few inches and a few yards in length. This might be okay for some crafts but not for crochet/knit. The other skein seems to be okay so far. Still, I will not be ordering this brand again.

Good value and good yarn
Such a good value for the price, especially if you use a coupon or it’s on sale! It’s one of my favorite acrylic yarns, although I have found that recently a few of the balls have felt a little thinner than a typical four weight. It hasn’t been an issue for me but it’s worth noting.

Love the yarn, BUT
Let me first say how much I love this yarn. It is soft, I love the large skein - when making an afghan, the large skeins mean you don't have to tie off as often. BUT - - - - I am beyond frustrated with my latest skeins. I bought enough to make a large afghan. Every skein has been a battle!! I like to pull from the middle rather than unwind from the outside. It is hard to find the starter string in the middle, and the skeins I was able to find it on had one tangle after another!! Not every color has given me that kind of difficulty, but these are terrible!! I am also disappointed that this company uses dye lots. I have used Herschners and there are no dye lot numbers - the skeins all match perfectly. Red Heart Super Saver I believe does not use dye lots. I was surprised when I had to buy more of this that it didn't match. Disappointed! I am not sure that I will buy in the future and that makes me sad because it is really nice yarn.

Pastel green is BLUE?
I had a project in mind with the colors I picked out. I went in to get my order and the pastel green which looks pretty green online is…. Blue? Not really sure if I’ll keep it or not.

Great value, solid weight 4 acrylic
Amazing range of colors, good value for the amount of yarn you're getting. Can easily make larger (wearables) projects with 1-2 skeins (size-dependent) and works up quickly. Consistent quality, although slightly less width than Caron 1 pound yarn (depending on the color/lot).

A Waste Of My Time (And Money!)
First of all, I never knit with acrylic yarn. I hate the feel of it. I made an exception in this case because the item I’m knitting is a baby blanket and the recipient specified machine wash and dry. I took a chance on this giant ball of yarn thinking I’d have less ends to work in. Should have just worked in the ends. I spent hours trying to find the center pull strand. Half the skein pulled out in a giant tangle of knots and small bits of yarn pieces too short to use for anything. What a waste. It’s like they just stuffed a bunch of mill ends in there to make up a full skein. I used to like Lion Brand yarn back in the day, but I won’t waste my money anymore.

A mixed review
I have been working with this yarn this week and love the colors, but 3 skeins of yarn are in knots on the inside, I can't get them out. So 3 skeins are useless. And I just bought 3 more in hopes they are better. The company should do a better job. Colors are beautiful. Texture beautiful. Yarn is a big problem.

Two words : YARN BARF!!!
Good amount of yarn for the price, but you will spend most of your time with it untangling yarn barf. If you're not familiar, it's the giant wad of knotted mess that comes out when you're trying to pull from the center. And not just the one first giant wad ... it's over, and over, and over... I cake all of my yarn to get an idea af how it will work up. This is on the lighter, fuzzier end. I haven't noticed a lot of pilling though. They do have good colors, and some you can't find elsewhere. Compared to Caron One Pound, there is no comparison. Yes, you get more with Pound of Love, but it's not worth the time spent dealing with the barf.

On inside of this yarn was a different weight
I love this yarn and don’t know if it was just the bundle I got but on 2 different bundles of yarn. One of them the yarn is stuffed inside and in Pieces the other one the yarn was tied in knots to tie long strands together but it was also a different weight which through off the project I was working on. Not sure if I will buy this again.

Disaster
This yarn is a disaster! I purchased multiple skeins on sale and have used much of it on multiple blankets. Every single one was a big mess to unravel. All of them had the yarn cut at least once & not tied together. I like to buy larger skeins so I don't have to weave in so many ends. There are more ends to weave with this. I've spent hours untangling this yarn. I will not purchase again!
