I can complete one beanie while watching tv in the evening and I love the color transitions of Astroland and Bedrock, I can just keep the knit simple bec the colorations give it the added oomph! It will be perfect gifting in time for the holidays.

I was quite impressed by the yarn’s vibrant color and texture—relatively soft and warm. It was also quite workable. I plan to use this yarn for another scarf as well.

I love that a lot of the colors coordinate so it is easy to add interest to your project and incorporate scraps. My only wish for this yarn: would really love a solid dark forest green color to join the family.

I haven't encountered any knots in 7 skeins. No fuzz or any split fibers, you can unravel your project easily. I was able to crochet a beautiful chunky cardigan with a 10 mm and 8 mm hooks following the pattern by Grace forthefrills. I want to buy more yarn in all the colors <3

Petrol Blue, for example, was very rough and had no give to it, but all of the speckled ones I've gotten wear great and are soft for a wool blend.

Two were great to work with the other 2 had places where 2 sections of yarn were just connected by tying a knot. The other skein had many sections where the yarn had come apart leaving a very thin strand of yarn followed by a frayed section and it was not usable.

First I ordered Thaw which looks blue online but is actually gray. Then all of the skeins I received seem to have lots of grass or straw in them. I had never noticed that before when working with this yarn.

It's soft, warm (SUPER warm), easy to work with, doesn't pill, versatile, and always in stock. Please, someone save me from my addiction, lol.

It was so bad that I had to stop knitting. I was very disappointed with this purchase.

But the next few I've had have big knots in them as well as black hairs in the yarn that do not resemble wool. The hairs are stiff and bristly and I've been really disappointed with the skeins.

I purchased two skeins in the color Bedrock. For durability and traction, I covered the bottom of the soles with pieces of rug padding. This is my first time using this yarn, and I highly recommend it.

I appreciate Joann working to find my yarn from three different places. Ten in one shipment, six in another, one on its own. However the color is completely off. I realize computer screens can distort colors. But if you have to order online, you need to know what color your getting. For anyone ordering Lion brand wool ease thick and quick in thaw it’s grey. On the screen it is light blue. Be warned

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from A decent chunky yarn I crochet and my mom really wanted some slippers this year for Christmas. Since I usually get so many Christmas gift requests I get started as early as possible during the season. I found a nice pattern for her slippers that used this yarn, but I was skeptical of the fact that it was wool- neither of us like the scratchy feeling that usually comes with wool. I went to the store and I thought "meh, it's not too bad" when I felt it, still has a wool feeling, but it's not like some wool that is very rough to the touch. I figured that after using it it would be softer, and I was right! The color Succulent is one of the colors within Seaglass, which was a pleasant surprise, since quite a few yarns I have used use different tones between skeins with one color and skeins with multiple colors- if you are looking for a pair of colors, I highly recommend those two. The online picture is very accurate to the actual color of the yarn that I bought in person. The Colors are also not extremely unique, which made it easy to pick other yarns for a matching scarf, hat, and gloves. The only major con for me is that the skeins are smaller than I'm used to working with, so I only have a yard or two leftover. The three pictures I have included show the similarity between the colors, the yarn as I was working with it, and a finished slipper

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent superior results My daughter and I use this brand to make loom hats for infants, children, and adults. We love the consistency of the yarn. We can always make 2 infant or 1 adult loomed hat from 1 skein of Wool-Ease yarn. We can get three children's hats from 2 skeins of the yarn. This brand is easy to works with and is easily the best to keep warm, wash, and wear. We make the hats with a doubled brim for a professional finish. We have found that many families have asked for matching hats for all of their family members. We have given away bins full of hats to the local shelters, local ambulances, and police officers to give out. We use to sell some at various craft fair, but Covid has put a halt to that, at least for the foreseeable future.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent and Knotty The yarn itself is beautiful and works up nicely. HOWEVER. There are several knots in each skein and while that wouldn't be an issue normally this is a striped yarn and they just attach two random colors together-not even the next color in the pattern. So then you have to cut away until you get to the correct shade. I'm wasting so much yarn and the pattern is very obvious so you can't just roll with it unless you're making granny squares etc. Another issue is that the colors are very inconsistent. I understand the difference between dye lots but some skeins have entire stripe sections that don't exist in other skeins. I may have to just return what I can and get something else.
