LUx Fleece Lacks LUX
2021 The LUX Flleece has been struck with t(e lack of luster and thickness. If you are in the market to buy LUX FLeece purchase older prints . The newer solids and prints are no longer heavy and thick. They are the worst for a blanket,or robe. It’s too late for me to return the items, but I’m really disappointe.

Quality Fleece!
Made my first blanket with this fabric. I used 2 yards of the burnt ocre luxe. Beautiful subdued orange, not a neon orange. Washes beautifully with no lint left in the dryer, no piling. Very thick good quality no problems sewing with machine. Worth every penny!

Needs Improvement.
This fabric is very thick and very warm and very expensive. Im including photos, it pills worse than any fleece I have ever worked with. Very unsatisfied.

Be careful! “Luxe” Fleece is not the all same!
First, my poor rating is based on the fact that if you purchased the “Luxe” fleece in the past (which is fabulous!) some current “Luxe” is not worthy of its label. Have 6 different prints and solids of this “Luxe” fleece, I will tell you it is NOT all the same!
I have 2 fleece, one printed, one solid I purchased last year and several years ago. These two fabrics are lush, have a firm body, have not pilled and feel expensive. There is everything to love and I live in them all winter. I purchased 3 more separate pieces to make more jackets and noticed these fabric do not feel the same, pill and just don’t have the same heft. There is nothing to love about them. It is harder to feel the difference but you can see the difference. The really Luxe is more velvety and firm of hand. But, There is a difference. I have an expensive zipper I want to use and decided to STOP before inserting it in yucky fleece. I have already made 2 more jackets, and they do not feel the same as the first 2. I purchased the “Luxe” brand because of it superior quality. So, aside from a crap-shoot, it will be hard to know what you are getting. For several years, this line of fabric has been limited in colors and prints. This year, the selection exploded in color and print choices. What I got was not “Luxe”. Just like fish, there is no way of knowing what your “white” fish real is!

Not enough matching solids
Luxe is great to work on, though it's truly a pile. However, I almost always find matching solids in either AP plush or Blizzard because the scope of solids in Luxe is small. Also, the Native American-inspired prints rarely appear in primary color schemes. The pink flowers on teepees print on grey was hopelessly frivolous and undignified for gifting to NAs. JA's is to be congratulated, however, on the prints with teepees, buffalos and mountains on them. Those made spot-on dignified blankets for gifting, especially to the drummers who officiate at Washat religion ceremonies in the Northwest. Finally, please tell your mills to not role printed fleece unevenly so that the patterns are not square when they should be. Printed Luxe, or any of the other fleeces, that are cattiwampus, diagonally distorted, and not rolled according to pattern are totally useless. You can't get them to square.

Water ONLY makeup remover cloth
Hesitantly bought 12in of this to make some water only makeup remover cloths. And they REALLY WORKED!
Note: do not trim off selvage material. It is needed to make a full-size cloth and gives added firmness and durability. Found he best and thickest colors were grayed, grizzled, and heather swirly type print patterns. Need a good pair of shears. NO sewing!
Buy 12inches/30cm of the 59in/1m50 wide of Joanns Luxe Fleece.
Lay and even out the 12in: fold in half along the 12in so you have two equal pieces of about 12x29in.
Cut thru the fold. Yields two 12x29in pieces.
Fold EACH of these in three: three equal pieces of 12x9.5in. Cut thru the 2 folds, giving you 3 cloths. Do this to other folded fleece.
Gently snip the corners of each cloth to round.
You have six face cloths.
To use: Wet well with warm water and gently remove makeup by small circular motions. Rinse cloth and repeat as needed. No products needed.

luxe soft and not itchy!
this fabric is so soft and smooth i made a fall coat with it and its warm and washed so nicely. got a great price on it and have a few more yards to make another jacket! it would be great for blankets or slipper/boots or hat/ gloves, no stretch to it really, maybe just a tad, but size up and it will be toasty and cozy!

Perfect fleece
Luxe fleece is my go to for blankets. They make an outstandingly great quality blanket. I make my blankets double and 3 yards and I have made about 50 lot of luxe fleece. They hold up well and look new years later.
