Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately got two packets of quarters and no nickels I would love to be able to give this product 5 stars but unfortunately when we opened it and started playing with it, we noticed that for the nickels it was actually another packet of quarters. All the other bills and coins we correct though. I made it work by putting red marker in the "nickels" to tell the difference while teaching my daughter.

But WHY, OH WHY, IS THERE NO LID? In other words, it just makes a mess and the paper money gets torn up then thrown away. A huge oversight on their part. Increase the price and make a lid!

I wish it had a slide on lid like some of the other Melissa & Doug products with small pieces for easy storing. We store our money in a cash box instead, as recommended by other homeschool teachers.

The bills are paper-so they will get a lot of wear and tear-but I think that is to be expected. Our kids are playing store, bank and learning how to count back change and make change from larger bills. Well worth the money!!
