Rated 5 out of 5 by from super cool stuff Baby iron is the bomb! Best ever for tight corners.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for activating adhesives These little irons were exactly what I needed. I was weary, because the unit received many one star reviews, but those folks seemed to be using the iron for pressing fabrics. I did find five star ratings, which were written by people who were activating thermo-set adhesives for patch applique. I teach art conservation and have an exercise where I need an iron to tack down adhesive. With everyone, including myself, sheltering in place, I needed a cheap alternative to our expensive tacking irons which could sent to students for an online demonstration/hands-on activity. This little iron totally fit the bill with its low cost and small size. I measured the temperature and it was above 230 degrees F, which was technically too high for the adhesive we were working with, but still it was perfect for the exercise, especially with no other alternatives available. I would give it five stars, because it really saved the exercise. However, if the manufacturer is looking at these reviews, I'll give it three stars for two reasons. 1. A temperature regulator would be a nice additions, so that you could turn the heat down. 2. Also, the cord is a bit bulky for such a small unit, the iron kept wanting to turn towards my arm, so I was worried the myself or one of the students would burn themselves. Fortunately, my students are adults and a trivet under the iron kept it in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from didn"t perform as expexted was disappointed bought this for my daughter to use for perler beads it didn't get hot enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Derice Mini Crafting Iron Not brand i ordered . Very poor quality .The reason i rated 1 star , otherwise i would have rated 0 stars ! Instructions say to leave on for approx. 10 -15 minutes, i left it for approx. 30 and still it was only barely warm . I could leave my hand on the iron plate and not get burned at all!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I give it a 4 for a rsting I was disappointed in the little iron. It doesn't get hot enough to press seams open.
Date published: 2020-05-09
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small but useful It was smaller than I was expecting, doesn't cover as much material as I would like but good enough for seams and smaller blocks, etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money My need for a craft iron is minimal so I bought this one because of low price. After several uses the inside part where plug is inserted separated. As long as I do not remove cord it’s fine but I worry about fire hazard. Will trash this one and get a better one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money This is the most worthless iron. The plug is awkward and falls out and even if it stays in it never warms up enough to take wrinkles out of even the thinnest fabric. I bought this for perler beads and they barely got warm after 15 minutes. Waste of money it just is poor quality

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great This didn't really work for my needs. Doesn't really seem to get very warm, even when I left it for longer than the suggested 10 minutes. Spring for a full sized iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my mini iron I have had my min iron for a couple yrs now or about that. It's great for appliques and small project. "Small"! Not for LG projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple I brought the Mini Crafting Iron and absolutley love it! Handle was easy to hold and it glided smoothly.
Date published: 2019-04-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too shabby Bought this mini iron for my crafting HTV vinyl. It helps a lot when my heat press can’t get in the corners or when some of the vinyl layers don’t seal. Small enough to get the job done.
Date published: 2019-01-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No heat control. Too awkward to handle for ironing small ruffles. Only one temperature, and it has no on /off switch. pretend spray/steam patterned vent on the front is pointlessly misleading. small size could be useful as a travel iron if it's not too hot for modern fabrics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cute and totally functional! I wanted to get into embroidery for making my own patches and saw someone have this tiny little iron. I thought it was adorable and wanted to buy it because it’s also very portable and will be helpful to take with me to college as well! I was able to easily get heat and bond put onto my patch with it and honestly it could work as a regular iron because of how hot it can get! Easy to use and honestly love it so much!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from if i could 0 stars... i most definitely would if i could. simply put-it was terrible. There was practically no heat- for sure not enough to press down seams. Not only that but the light didn't come on as mentioned when it was hot enough (which it never was) the light was just on the whole time. It's the one and only thing i've returned to joann

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mini iron I bought this mini iron to make parts of an ornament that needed to be pressed. I really like the iron.
Date published: 2017-08-03
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed My Mini-Crafting Iron seems to have a short in the connection between the cord and the iron. The light will come on for a few seconds then it's gone along with the heat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Need I bought just what I needed to go with my craft section. I use my mini iron every time I finish a perler project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was sooo disappointed. I bought this and threw it away the first time i tried to use it. What a terrible, terrible waste of money. I usually feel very safe in my purchases at Jo Ann's. I have shopped there for many years, and love it. However, on this product, i would not even give it a 1 star if there were something less.
Date published: 2017-05-20
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Hot Enough This is not hot enough for iron-on transfers. I let it warm up for 5-10 minutes and it still didn't get hot enough. Most telling: I set it down on some contact paper by accident and the contact paper was fine. Didn't bubble or anything.
Date published: 2017-04-14
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! Peice of junk! Does not get hot enough to press the seams of my quilt prices. Handle broke off and can't be repaired.
Date published: 2017-04-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Good This product although having a nice small size is does not work as it should. The cord that connects to the iron does not fit well and falls out every time. After making several attempts to keep the electrical cord in place, it would just not stay connected to the iron.
Date published: 2017-03-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great size I've had 2 of these now and love the small size. Prefect for retreats. The only problem is the power cord plug in is not very secure, it gets pushed in to easy and no longer works.
Date published: 2016-10-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mini iron I bought this last year and I did not like it at all. It did not get hot enough and it fell apart in the middle of using it.
Date published: 2016-10-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from not a good investment Iron does not heat up enough to press anything. I will be returning it.
Date published: 2016-07-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cord keeps unplugging I received this as a gift....used it once. The cord kept coming out. It is on the wrong side if you are right handed. The cord seems too heavy duty for this little iron.
Date published: 2016-04-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This little iron is best for fusing. It works great when fusing fabric to fusing material. I don't think it strong enough to iron clothes but it is excellent for small areas. I bought two for my friends and they love it.
Date published: 2013-12-01
Rated 1 out of 5 by from useless product Tried to use this for quilting, but it doesn't get hot enough. Total waste of money.
Date published: 2009-11-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it At first I bought this to Iron fusible interlining onto my fabrics...I wasn't expecting it to 100% work for the job, but I thought, 'Eh, if it doesn't at least I can use it to get creases out of thin fabrics.... What a dissappointment. Didn't work on bit.... I should have used the 10 bucks on a REAL Iron.
