More than one...
You may need more than one. Not because any of them are lacking, but because different projects require a different amount of space. I have 3 OLFA self healing cutting mats. My mother used OLFA brand tools for her cloth sewing projects and now I use them for my leather projects. It doesn't mater what OLFA blade I use, these mats just keep my projects going.

Use a mat that lasts
I know what you’re thinking....maybe you could buy a cheaper brand. I did once and regretted it. Honestly, it’s a great value when you think about how one it will last.

I love it!
I bought my first alpha map in 2000, when I started Quilting. I loved it, but it was getting rather old, and I decided to replace it with this one. I love it! It does not seem to pill like the old one did you do it self healing nature. I have other all the products, and I’m equally pleased with them as well.

Essential for crafts
I'm definitely a budget buyer, but I grew up in an OLFA household, and the quality difference is staggering between these mats and competors. I recieved my OLFA mat as a gift and I can't imagine a day sewing without it. High quality and durable, you'll never go wrong with this.

Not worth it for the money.
I’m extremely disappointed in this product. I used it for a month now, and noticed that the cuts are leaving marks in this “self healing” mat. I also noticed that as I was cutting, it was peeling up parts of the mat. Not worth it for the money. NOT self healing, AT ALL...just a plastic sheet.

I purchased this cutting mat because I do not have an appropriate table for cutting. This is a useful size for me. I gave it an average rating because there is an odor that fills the room. At first, I thought that my furnace was in need of repair, but when I was using the mat for a project, I realized that the mat was the odor. I now store the mat in my garage, hoping that the odor will subside in the days ahead.

Will outlast other cutting mats
This Olfa mat is superior to Fiskars mat. It shows no marks, when you rub your hand across it there are no cuts in the mat.
Fiskars mat showed cuts and you can feel the cuts, eventually you cut through it.

Great cutting mat
I bought this to replace an Olfa mat I've had for at least 25 years (which still was usable, but all the old score lines made a few areas a bit rough). This is an excellent product - very sturdy and with improved grids that are tremendously helpful in making precise straight and angular cuts. Highly recommended for both fabric and paper.

I had an old Olfa mat that started to crack, so I did some research on a new mat thinking there may be a better brand out there, but all the reviews I read and research showed that this mat was the best one still to purchase. I can say I really love my new mat.

Olga cutting mat
Very disappointed with the product. After two uses with Olaf rotary cutter, the mat has grooves in it. Changing the blade made no difference.

Olfa mat smell
The Olfa cutting mat smells so badly that I've had to leave it outside. It's even too strong to keep it in the garage. Even though it's good for the job, I would not recommend it.
