[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically don't post reviews but I have been thoroughly pleased with my 18mm Heavy Duty Hitter. I love having a sharp blade and have always been a fan of the snap off, deep reach utility blades. Years ago I used a much lower quality brand utility blade to cut through flex duct on HVAC installs, wish I had an OLFA blade back then. Lately I have used my 18mm blade for several tasks such as cutting thick cushion foam and 1/2" Rubber stall mats. Blade quality and sharpness are exceptional. Will definitely continue to use OLFA products in the future. #sweepstakes

MacGyver would use this everyday!
I received this utility knife as a sample from Olfa through another tradesman. I've had it for a number of months and used it for a variety of projects during that time. I am predominantly a woodworker, but also do other crafts and building projects. The biggest con I have with this knife is it is so good I have to keep my father from stealing it from me. We share a shop and I always find it in his tools. Seriously I recommend this knife to anyone who needs a solid knife, easiest to use, comfortable in hand and downright durable. As the title suggests MacGyver would have been shorter episodes if this was his knife (though the Swiss army was a solid choice). #sweepstakes

Amazing utility knife!

I own multiple.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great knives. I got one and I was blown away with how shape the blades are. The blade stays out and doesn't easily retract unless you want it to. I was very leery of the pick on the end but I end up using it daily for many off tasks. The knife is very well built and seems like it will last me a long time. I keep one in my work bag that opens bags/boxes and strips wires back or cuts ram board and other things. Then I also keep one in my garage for woodworking that helps a lot with marking wood and opening packages. #sweepstakes

Great product , just buy it...Now

The blade is very durable and can hold up to all the tasks I put it through. I love having the pry bar on the side, I don't have to reach for another tool. Great product, Just buy it already

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hesitated to spend more than what I had previously paid for the countless flimsy razor knives I'd destroyed over the years, but after splurging on an LA-X I finally understood their value. I now have three of these knives so I can keep one handy anywhere I am. It's the sturdiest knife of this type I've held, and the utility-pryer thing on the handle is awesome (best use so far has been pulling up old staples a tenant had gone a little overboard with when hanging up decorations in a bedroom). #sweepstakes

The Finest Utility Knife
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an Art Handler and use this knife on a daily basis in the field. From cutting cardboard, rigid archival board, matboard, soft polyethylene foam, and anything in between, this product stands up to the test. The comfortable ergonomic design lends itself to being truly accurate with every cut, and you never feel like the blade will drift off the cut or malfunction given the knife's heavy-duty construction. Even after the 100th cut, OLFA's provided blade stuck true to the quality of when I first used it. When it comes time to change blades, it couldn't be any easier either. Overall, this utility blade has been the finest I have ever used. It has stood up to many uses, and a myriad of different job types. #sweepstakes 100% would recommend this product.

I would buy this over and over again. Love it!
First time I used this was to remove a tie knot dog toy caught in the mower deck. First I grabbed my old utility knife and struggled to cut it off. Then used the OLFA and it sliced through it no problem. I've used it to cut house wrap, foam board, insulation and many other items. Still going strong on the first tip.

Great Blade
I use the blade in my shop for everything from opening boxes to sharpening pencils and it handles everything in between. I like the ergonomic design and that it fits easily in my belt. The bright color really makes it stand out when buried under a pile of tools or saw dust.

This is a great utility knife! Olfa is Quality!
Utility knives are just that: I use my Olfa 18MM with Auto-Lock slide all the time. I especially like it on cutting fiberglass strapping and shipping tape. The design is fantastic and I really like the weight. My Olfa doesn't fly out of my hands: it stays put!

Great value and use
Great design for the la-x I really like the metal pry tool on the back, I've found multiple uses from paint cans to prying up plastic tabs. The knife is great design also, I like how it locks in the middle position of the snap blade. My first OLFA product and probably won't be my last. I find myself grabbing this more often than I normally would a standard utility knife. Great product and thanks for the sample!

I'd buy it if it were free
It's a basic utility knife. I find the styling of these knives to be somewhat unsafe. I'm a 20 year Union Electrician and would never use this knife on a job site. It would probably be lost within a day. You could purchase the cheaper versions of this utility knife for less money and the backs of them are equipped with a tool to safely snap off used blade portions. This knife was sent to me with just the request of a review.. Unfortunately, I can't give it a good one. It's not something I would ever purchase or use regularly.

Best utility knife I've ever owned!
I used this knife daily, never had any problems. The pick on the back has been extremely helpful. I need to find a holder that attaches to my belt though. It's a little carrying this in my pocket all the time. I've had this knife since March, still using the same blade it came with. Down to the last 3 segments. Time to buy more. Like I said, I use it daily. Best knife I've ever had! Thank you.
