With its yellow and black marking, the ruler lets you spot the 0.12-inch gird irrespective of whether you are working on a light or dark fabric. This long-lasting acrylic plastic ruler is laser cut for 0.002-inch accuracy and also comes with 30-degree, 60-degree and 45-degree angles. Bias lines of the ruler are aligned to the bottom to let you use the ruler continuously without the need to flip or turn. Designed with a feasible numbering system, this 6 x 12-inch ruler is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.

First Time With Rotary Cutter & Quilter's Ruler
I used to sew from the time I was a pre-teen, through high school and beyond for many years. Even worked as a manager at Joann's predecessor.
After I left that job almost 30 years ago, I gave sewing a big rest as a hobby. The COVID-19 situation created an urge to get back to it - making protective masks for my family, and to donate. Good Quality Ruler
I bought this rule b/c I needed something smaller than the one that I already have. This ruler is perfect for my needs. It's still long enough that I can easily cut strips of fabric, but not long enough to be hard to maneuver.

Cannot believe how handy this size is!!
I asked my daughter who teaches fabric/ textile classes, what her favorite ruler is and she told me 6 x 12. I had one other Omnigrid/ Omnigrip ruler so I purchased this one. She was SO right - I don't know how I've been managing before I purchased this size!! In the past I used the grid markings on my cutting mat for large widths; now I can but the 6 x 12 up against my 6.5 x 24 for those fabric cuts.
The Omnigrid brand provides a non-slip measuring tool.
