Ariana Hoet, PhD

Ariana Hoet, PhD, clinical director and interim executive director of On Our Sleeves, is the driving force behind our mission of providing educational resources that break stigmas, increase mental health literacy, and support children’s mental health. Dr. Hoet works in Pediatric Primary Care where she serves primarily Latino and Somali immigrant children. She is also a clinical assistant professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, with a role in training the next generation of behavioral health professionals who will tackle the emerging mental health crisis in children. On Our Sleeves launched Operation: Conversation, a program to
encourage adults to have conversations with children to support
mental health. This program, developed by the behavioral health
experts at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, offers helpful resources,
like conversation starters, tip sheets and educational resources.
