    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great in theory, nothing else. The magnifying glass is WAY to heavy for the clip, the stand is to awkward to use for crafting purposes. Great concept terrible execution. None of it is practical.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a helpful tool My favorite part about this was the rounded clamp. I use Q Snaps for my cross stitch and it’s hard to find a clamp large enough. Having said that, one of the most bothersome things about this magnifier is that it’s neatly impossible to tighten the screw enough to keep it from swinging side to side. I can only clamp it on the top of my work because it swings down if I try to clamp it on the side. It should come with a small L-shaped screwdriver tool. Also the LED light is bright when you first turn it on but dims very quickly. I don’t even use the light because I have a large standing OttLite I use instead. While this could use some improvements, overall it was what I was looking for and really has made cross stitching easier.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magnifying is great. Light not good. This is my second Ottlite. Love the first one, a floor stand model. Had it for many years. Looking for a light with magnifying glass and bright light. This table top light was not bright enough for me and stopped working. I returned it easily the next day and got another model of Ottlite. This lite has no magnifying but is bright so I don’t need it. Love this one.

First time doing counted cross stitch and this light allows me to see my piece up close and less eye strain. A separate clip is also included to use it without the table base. Great buy!

This would be much better with AAA or similar for power. Disappointing for an Ott light, I would expect the LIGHT part of an Ott product would be better quality.

Within a month the light didn’t work at all-even after replacing the batteries. Then the plastic clamp broke off a few weeks later. Today, when I was adjusting the magnifier, it snapped off in my hand! I had called the Ott company about the clamp and they told me that they would send a new one. That was six months ago and I’m still waiting. This is no reflection on Joann Fabrics at all. Now I need to find another magnifier because this project needs to be done by Christmas!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish the clamp and/or neck is more secure I originally bought this for my paint by numbers detail crafting. But had not used it for that and I don't think its be good to use for that because the neck is a bit short to get the middle of a 20 inch x 20 inch painting detail magnified. I was able to use it as a lamp for when I am crocheting at night using the clamp clipped to my coffee table while I'm sitting on the floor crocheting. The clamp is not big/wide enough to fit other tables. The lamp slids downward (weak clamp). But I like the bright light and the magnification it provides and how there is no border on the lens.
