crappy when ordered to ship
I bought this recently online before the Palmdale store closed; I had it shipped.....WELL it came in with the box all taped up and I just opened it and there are pieces missing!! I can't even put it together! who ever sent it, just shipped it without opening it from the previous buyer. It was a train wreck to say the least. I WANT ANOTHER ONE - AND IT BEST BE UNOPENED AND NEW.

Not a quick change from floor to table, poor quality threads on screw joints on the stand
First, it's not easily converted between a floor lamp and a table lamp. For the floor version, there is a long pipe that is bolted to the base. If you want to change from a floor to a table lamp, you have to unbolt the piece of pipe first.
Second, the pipe that is used in the floor version comes in two pieces, the ends are threaded and they need to be screwed together. There are minimal threads on the female side and the joint strips easily, just the added weight from attaching the lamp section was enough to strip the joint.

Did not last!
The light just stopped working. I really liked it for quilting, but was disappointed when it quit. I searched for Troubleshooting suggestions, but all tips are for other models. I would not purchase it again.

Great lighting
I like that this light can be used as a desk lamp or on the base with the longer pole for various projects .
it gives a great focused light, right where you're working. Also, the magnifier feature comes in handy when you need to do close up work, like threading needles, etc.
the light is great for also working with dark fabrics and yarn, when typical room lighting just isn't sufficient.
