I have one by my crochet chair, it's very convenient that the neck bends and swivels so you can get just the right amount of light right where you need it. I loved it so much I purchased a second one for the other corner where my sewing table is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too heavy! I had mixed feelings about this lamp. It does the job , but it's very difficult to move because it's very heavy. I needed a lamp, bought one from another store that I really liked for half the price of this one with a lot more features like a remote control, different settings (3) for lighting, sadly stopped working in 3 days. Then JoAnns had this one on sale and I bought it. Only reason I didn't returned it is because is to heavy to get back it to the store!

I received one for a gift in 2020 for my craft room, it's a long narrow room with only a ceiling fan w/light in the center so the corners are quite dark. I initially intended this to be used in multiple places in my craft room however this has a somewhat hefty base (I assume to keep if from tipping when adjusting light) so I kept it by my crochet chair so I can see especially in the winter months when it gets dark so early. Works beautifully, so much so I just bought myself another one to keep by my sewing table. There's no stopping my crafting now, with this lamp it's like daylight in the middle of the night!

I like the goose neck it can adjust to different angles if needed. I highly recommend it for those of you who need it for close up work or reading.

It does that very well, but what I'm not impressed by is the on/off button. To say it's mediocre would be polite, the button feels like iit's just cheap...in no way should it be in an Ott-lite product.
