Rated 5 out of 5 by from High-Quality Yarn at a Great Price It sounds like crafters have been putting their trust in this yarn for a long time, and I can definitely see why. The yardage is fair for the price, the yarn is incredibly soft (almost feels like a baby yarn), and it doesn't split very easily. Also, I like the fact that a large variety of colors is offered. From what I have ordered, the colors you see are really what you get. I am knitting a pair of gloves with Pale Lavender palms and Cotton Candy fingers on 4s and they're turning out just beautifully. I hope this yarn sticks around for many years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely! This yarn is soft and very easy to use. I am crocheting a lacey scarf with the Silver Gray and it is turning out beautifully. I plan to make my toddler a blanket with this yarn next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Help please This is not as much a comment as a plea for help. I've used Astra and love the way it handles, its easy care, and its stretchiness (just enough). I've only used a solid color, but I'd love to use the varigated one called "Happy Days," but I need a solid to go with it. Does anyone know if the gorgeous blue in there is the same as "Hot Blue"? Or if "Hot Green" or "School Bus Yellow" would match? I'd also love to try "Paint Box Varigated," but have the same problem. There are so many blues, and I'm not sure if one of them, the bright yellow, or "Cardinal" (red) would pick up the same colors. I use this yarn (always carrying two strands) to make ripple-pattern scarves. Thanks for any help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Have used this yarn since 1969 - Astra Baby yarns to begin with then the regular Astra. This is one of the greatest yarns that has been created. Hope that it never goes out of production. Still use it today for the grandchildren's knitting etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great baby yarn I use Astra all the time for great baby outfits. Their colour palette makes chossing colours easy, the yarn is high quality, soft to the touch and holds up well. I have had friends pass down their knitted items to cousins and younger siblings, and after countless washes and dries, the sweaters still look new, without the stretching, flattening, or pilling that can happen with cheaper quality yarn. It's worth the extra 50 cents to make an article that stands up to the test of time.
