Nice elastic
This elastic is nice. It's soft and has a good stretch. I have almost used up all of the elastic that I previously had making face masks, so I wanted to stock back up. My only problem is that the package came ripped so that some of the elastic is dirty and the spool that it is on is broken into lovely sharp edges. However, the elastic itself is nice.

Pellon 1/4 inch x 288 yards knit elastic spool
My review is not about the product itself, but the fact that it was shipped poorly. The plastic spool top and bottom the 288 yards of 1/4 inch elastic was wrapped around were broken in shipment , exposing sharp edges for the customer to unwrap the elastic as the product is needed. The plastic bag/ package the product was contained in , was partly opened when it was received. I would have thought the product would have be wrapped in bubble wrap , at the very least, before being plastic in the plastic bag.

I will use the elastic for future projects. However, it was the product that I had expected. When I viewed the image I thought it was like elastic that was used in the Joann-made masks as I had purchased.

Very thin, hardly 1/4 inch. Tears easily when stretched.
The 3/8 inch is much better.

Current product very disappointing
Months ago this elastic was great. Since the pandemic, it appears Pellon has changed its manufacturing to fill orders but forgot about quality. The current elastic is less than 1/4" wide, thin, and has poor stretch/resistance. Do not buy this unless you see it in person or are prepared to return it.

Underwear Grade Elastic - Don’t recommend for Mask
It is a little too “open-weave” for making ear loops on the face masks. It is hard to tell by this photo presented. A close up of the elastic would be very beneficial. This appears to be intended for making underwear.

Comfortable for the ears.
This supplier in Florida sent a elastic thinner than 1/4".At first I thought it was too thin, but, I made masks, it's very soft and comfortable on the ears.

Finally desided to buy the spool of knit elastic even though some reviews were negative. Ordered on 7/12 and received on 7/15- OUTSTANDING delivery. The elastic is exactly what I need to make more face masks. The quality seems excellent, no defects that I have seen. Very happy with this purchase, and it was 1/2 price too!

Good elastic
I bought this elastic for face masks and it works perfect, the quality of mine is good.. doesn’t feel cheap or like is gonna rip.. im happy with the price and the amount.. i got it delivered 3 days after placing my order. Im very happy with it.

Not what I ordered. Spool says 1/4", but it's 3/8". Have to go through hassle of return & wait forever, again, for new elastic to arrive.
