Used For: Used with thin or lightweight fabrics to stiffen, reinforce and provide shape retention on garments, costumes, accessories and crafts.
Special Benefits: Two main types of interfacing include fusible (which is applied with heat) and sew-in. They can be knit or woven, and come in a variety of weights to reinforce different kinds of base fabric.
Pellon® 910 Sew-In Featherweight Interfacing 20" Wide. 910 Sew-In Featherweight is a lightweight, nonwoven interfacing for light to midweight fabrics. It is ideal for use with fabrics such as challis, chambray, jersey, broadcloth, and linen and an excellent backing for blouses, dresses, and lightweight jackets.

Works great, no asterisks.
A bit stiff (as it ought to be!), but thin enough to work nicely with very thin fabrics. Makes the sewing process much easier as well, in my opinion, than it is just working with the plain fabric. I’m glad I bought a whole bolt, because I’ll be using this a lot. I’ve also used some for an unintended purpose (glued it to the back of some leather that was a bit too thin for my needs) and it worked like a charm.

Pellon sew in interfacing review
I used the Pellon for a project at my college, the Fashion Institute of Technology. I’m a fashion design student and I rely on Joann for all my materials. We had a challenge to make a garment out of Pellon interfacing so I made a 1960s dress. The material was perfect for the project and was easy for me to use. I get interfacing all the time from Joann.

I was looking for a lightweight interfacing for placemats that I was sewing. The Pellon interfacing that I picked up was perfect for the project. Just the right amount to give the placemats body. I would recommend this product.
