The HG2043 cordless electric scissors were designed to easily cut through fabric, leather, metal, paper, and cardboard without any effort on the part of the user. The upgraded soft grip handle has been redesigned to maximize ease of use for those with hand ailments and to make it more comfortable for professional crafters who rely on our scissors throughout the day. The compact design makes them light enough not to wear you out and small enough to make those precise cuts easier. Great for cutting multiple layers of cloth or fabric and can also be used for scrapbooking, quilting, sewing and dressmaking. Each battery provides 1-2 full hours of cutting time.

  • Electric scissors easily cut through fabric, leather, metal, paper, cardboard and more. Great for craft projects, cutting fabric, dressmaking, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking or just opening packages.
  • Cordless scissors can be taken anywhere and feature a built-in safety button to prevents accidental usage.
  • Doesn't require additional batteries and comes with our rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery which offers a full 1-2 hours of usage.
  • Lightweight and feature a compact design, making them easy to store and carry. These fabric scissors are just under 1lb and no longer than nine inches.

After reading reviews and comparing, I ordered this pink one. I love it! It easily cuts through multiple layers of fleece and makes nice smooth cuts. Battery seems to last a long time too.

I’ve had these scissors for about a week and am thrilled at the speed and ease at which they cut through multiple layers of fabric. They’re a bit loud (so turn your TV up or you’ll get weird looks from your partner 🙂), but they’re not too heavy. I think there may be somewhat of a learning curve (at least for me there was), to ensuring that your cut will be straight. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend these, especially if you have issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome. And I love that they’re pink!! Makes me feel empowered!

Some Pros, Mostly Cons Objectively these are great for cutting sequined/embellished fabrics and pieces of heavily woven home decor but they fail in many other ways. They cause instant raveling on brocades and delicate jacquards and are hard to control with thin fabrics such as chiffon, organza or faille. Woven plaids and stripes are an impossibility as they vibrate quite a lot and don't stay on track. In addition, they are loud and get quite warm if you're cutting constantly (I work at Joann's and we have been testing them for everyday use for weeks now). They are also delicate and they practically explode if dropped so be very careful and keep them from the edge of your table. They plow right through most faux furs but will damage the natural lay of the pile and leave an absolute mess of cut fur behind. It's better to mark the back and use an xacto blade instead. I'm sticking with good old fashion scissors or rotary cutters which cut cleanly, are easier to control and require no charging.
