Good, clean craft for kids!
I think the Make a Koala Friend is a great craft project for children with good fine motor skills. Kids who are younger will definitely need some help, but kids slightly older should do fine as it's mostly weaving the thread through the pre-made holes and tying some knots. I love how many pieces of clothing are included and that everything is already pre cut and ready to go, besides cutting a couple pieces of string. My daughter is 9 and loves how cute the koala is and that she comes with the tiny koala and pet dog too! This is a good craft to keep kids busy for a good while and is really mess free!

Lots of pieces.
We were so excited to have a new project to work and play with together. I am always looking for fun activities to do with my many grandbabies.
The Koala bear had lots of pieces. Seventy seven to be exact.
My little one is 4 years old. He loved the kaola bear,the sewing and stuffing was his favorite part of the project. When we got to the accessories and beads many small parts he could not hold on to them. He needed lots of help and seemed to have lost interest. He wanted to do more by himself but could not.
We did finish the kaola bear but had to much aggravating time with the accessories. All and all half fun I can say.

Super cute, Lots of adult help for younger ones
I am giving this 4 stars because it is absolutely adorable, but I’m not sure age 4 is the best age for it. The box includes everything needed to create a cute felt Koala, along with several accessories. My child loved stuffing the Koala, and especially loved making a wish before putting her little felt heart inside. The plastic needle seems great for smaller hands, but my child really needed a ton of help from me for this project for making knots, sewing the elastic for the purse, and the jump rings. Once the Koala was completed, we adored her. She is complete with her baby Koala in the purse, walking her cute little dog wearing a purple dress. Overall, this was a great weekend project for us, and even though I did a lot of it, my daughter seemed to enjoy watching the sewing, knotting, and dressing. I will also add I am not the best with a needle and thread, but I found the instructions incredibly easy to follow and was impressed at my crafting abilities!

Great for introducing sewing to child.
My child really enjoyed making this. He needed more help with things that required really fine motor skill (small beads/rings) but really liked the sewing and stuffing aspect. He especially liked making a wish and placing the heart inside. Overall a fun craft, but has several steps and requires patience.
