Good enough that I'm buying it again
I was really concerned about whether this pen would fade as I have a tendency to mark lines in the wrong place. I was so relieved when the ink did, in fact, disappear. As other reviewers have said, on some fabrics, yes, it does fade very fast (e.g. the blackout lining for my curtains, it was fading within twenty minutes, so I had to work quickly), on other fabrics it has lasted longer (rarely up to 48 hours, though). My first pen lasted for a year. I'm only just finding that the ink is running out, now, so I am eager to replace it. I use it for all of my sewing projects (generally, curtain-making, roman shades, cushions, etc), and I live in SoCal (if temperature has any affect on the ink's longevity).

How did I ever sew without them?
I have used these pens for many years with confidence that the marks will either disappear or I can just get them out with a little water. So much easier marking faces, etc.

Love it!
I do a lot of free motion quilting on my small home machine and I use this marker for the more complex designs. A lot of people complained that it disappears too quickly but I have the opposite problem. It lasts at least 48 hours for me. I’d rather it disappeared in an hour or two because I want to see my designs without the purple interfering. That being said, I love it and couldn’t live without it! I’ve also used it when making lingerie and it worked great on the synthetic fabrics.

Love using these pens. They are easy to see when marking fabric and no need to worry about removing lines. It really is disappearing ink.

The ink disappears with air. No need to wash.
I order products because we do not have a Joann's Fabric in Sebring. My club make Puppy Dogs for our emergency room and for the Salvation Army we make doll dresses. We need another fabric store here.

I've bought this item a few times thinking I may have just gotten a defected pen. I like it for cutting my patterns but the pen itself dries out quickly. It will not work for your next project unless you're using it the very next day or so. Very disappointing. Hoping for a longer lasting product. :(

For small applications only.
It says it lasts for 24-48 hours but it really only lasts for 8 hours at the most.
If you're using this for larger applications you better be a quick seamstress.
Definitely not for quilts.
Also it does not come off with a damp cloth, it only intensifies the ink before making it disappear even faster.

I used this pen to mark a quilt pattern on a quilt I was quilting. It disappeared so quickly that I had to mark and quilt - mark and quilt. Although I love the disappearing characteristic, it vanishes too quickly for large applications.
