The Rit All Purpose Liquid Dye is a craft accessory with multiple uses. This versatile, easy-to-use and non-toxic liquid dye is ready to deliver vibrant color to almost any type of fabric or fabric blend, including cotton, linen, silk, wool, rayon, ramie or nylon. It is perfect for rejuvenating faded clothing, changing the color of apparel, shoes or accessories, coordinating home decor, hiding laundry accidents and so much more. You can use it to tie-dye clothing and decor fabrics. It’s also the perfect tool to create ombre, dip-dyed, marbled or shibori patterns. Rit can even dye wood, wicker, paper and cork. I wish darker colors like black or indigo didn’t bleed as much on the shirts leaving unwanted colors.

Rit dye is good was to use it for mixing for a color combination was Trying for sage green but just could not get the right color. Was close but either to green or blue so used a different way. But over all rit dyes are good over all I use them a lot dyeing wood

Works on unsuspecting laundry
Maybe I didn't do it right, but I got this dye to fix my black work pants which were ruined with bleach. It did not fix the problem, and even though I rinsed these out for five minutes and then washed them with a towel, my entire next load of laundry was ruined by black dye stains.

It worked
I bought the denim blue to dye two cloth cotton masks I was given. One was white another was green. They came out great. The white came as a true mid-denim color, the green as a darker one. Very happy how they turned out.

I was very disappointed with the performance of this product. I have tie dyed several times before but have never used Rit dyes until now. I followed the directions exactly but the dye did not stay. I even used color fixative and the colors still washed out.
I do not recommend this product and will not purchase it again.

Ok...
The dye applied evenly for the most part. But it did run, even after several hours of rinsing. Maybe it was my fault for not using the fixiative, I did a vinegar bath instead. I'm going to re-dye my dress and then use the fixative. I hope it works this time.
