My Niece had moved into a beautiful home and I was tasked to redo her curtains. I had no issue with the first two, by the time i got to the third one, my needle broke. I put in another needle, popped again - I literally had to go to Joann fabrics to get a pack of needles. So many types... I ended up asking for assistance. I needed a universal needle that could work on my serger. Ended up getting the Schmetz and the problem was solved. The needles are strong, durable, had no issue going through the fabric. I couldn't be more pleased :-)

My go-to machine needles. Schmetz has had a place in my sewing notions for 40 years. Ballpoint, Jersey, all weights 70 to 110, even a leather needle from time to time, find a place in my kit. When they’re too dull for sewing reliably, I use them to hang pictures!

This is the size needle I like to use for quilt piecing and general sewing. This size is strong enough to go thru several levels of fabric and does not leave holes in my fabric if I need to unsew. JoAnn's had a good stock of al size needles.
