Definitely not permanent
Permanent, temporary, or both? Actually neither! It should say that it doesn't stick to painted surfaces. I was attempting to hang paper posters on my wall. It refused to stick to the wall. Unfortunately it comes in a 3 pack. So I waisted 3 rolls instead of just one.

Does not stick
This is a follow up to my previous review. After realizing you have to pull it out past the black printing, it is indeed double sided, however it is in no way permanent. It barely sticks at all. It may work ok on paper items but not much else.

Great! once you get past the first few inches
Pull the roll past the black writing on the tape then you're golden. All of the reviews complain that it was a struggle at first, so pull the tape out a few inches until the black writing is gone - the welcome to sticky city.

Didn't hold
I purchased this to adhere photographs to a cardboard. The next day almost all of them had fallen off. So disappointing.

Tape splits
I buy in bulk and on every dispenser the tape has split, very difficult to find the end. Frustrating. I never had a problem with it in the past. Something must have changed.

FOR GOODNESS SAKE! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. ALL THAT 3M HAS TO DO IS HAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO PULL OUT AND DISCARD THE FIRST 8” AND THROW IT AWAY BEFORE YOU REACH THE “DOUBLE STICK” TAPE. WHY HASN’T A COMPANY LIKE 3M FIGURED IT OUT SO THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T GET DISGUSTED WITH THEIR PRODUCT (S)??

This is the WORST scotch product Double Sided Tape, IMPOSSIBLE to use. DO NOT PURCHASE. You can’t remove the grossly layer. No INSTRUCTION.
