Bookmarks for 50 years of friendship and being nurI have not worked on this project yet, but I will. I have three friends that went to nursing school 50 years ago and we are still friends. We are having a reunion in the spring and I am making them each a bag of crafts that are from Joann.

Bottom and top not scallopedBottom and top not scalloped once you take it out of the package! Was excited for a prefinished bookmark, but there is just serging on the top and bottom, hidden by the packaging.

They have turned out beautifullyI see some negative comments about this product. I’m not sure what they “used” to be however they have worked out amazing for the bookmarks I’ve completed.

NOT 16 count AidaThe item description for this product, as noted by another reviewer, is incorrect. I was excited to find 16 point fabric as I have a bookmark pattern that is 30 stitches wide. I ordered these for curbside pickup and was given CharlesCraft 14 count bookmarks instead. This was not a mistake by the employees--even the shelf sticker still says 16 count Sensations, but the item # is now linked to these 14 count bookmarks. It seems that the item carried by Joann has been changed, but no one has bothered to update the product name/image/description. This was a really frustrating experience so I'm posting a review that will hopefully help others to know what they're getting here, because for some bookmark patterns the difference in this stitch count is make-or-break. I really hope that Joann.com will update this item description to accurately reflect their stock.

Deceptive patternI bought this specifically because I liked the free pattern on the back. However, the pattern won't fit on the bookmark! The fabric provided is about least 2 inches short! Naturally, I only discovered this after I started sewing. Really annoyed.

Strongly-bound, but I wish it was a bit straighterThe seams on this are strong and don’t fray, however they can be a bit wonky towards the ends because they aren’t quite straight.

Sensations Bookmark VS the new Clark! For over 10 years I have been using the Sensations 16 ct Aida bookmark to embroider name tags for our PEO group. The item you are NOW selling is the Charles Craft Bookmark which is 14 ct., NOT 16 ct.. Both are manufactured by the same company & makes them for Jo-Ann Stores. The Charles fabric is droopy, has the lines tightly together, and does not wash well if the black embroidery thread leaves color on the fabric. It also washes poorly. The Sensations fabric is just stiff enough, which makes it easy to embroider, and it washes VERY nicely. Both are the same width, but the Sensations fabric is 3 rows smaller with lines that leaves a small hole, which makes it easier to insert your needle. The Charles has the lines crammed together. I will not purchase the Charles again. I have purchased a new fabric from England that is identical as the Sensations!
