Durable Fabric
My company, Palace Gallery, uses this fabric in our Gipsy Peddler SCA Rapier Armor division, to make 16th century doublets, shirts, and pants used in historical re-enactment. Because of its weight and density and by using enough layers, it passes the testing for safety and takes the place of a modern fencing jacket when fighting duels.
It keeps it color and crispness after washing and still looks good after a number of years of use in tournaments and demonstrations.

Target fabric
I like the fabric. It works well for what I need. However I am disappointed that the Plymouth store has such a poor selection of target leaving me no choice but to purchase on line. So then I have to wait days to receive it. I would like to see the Plymouth store to carry a complete selection of target.
Thank you.

Available varieties
It is 38 years since I learned how a sewing machine operates. At that time I applied mechanical drawing skills to making patterns for personal attire. During all those years the best fabric for utilitarian garments like trousers and shirts were mxtures of polyester and cotton fibers. The fabrics were identified as sportswear and Trigger. And I purchased about 2000 yards of fabric making about 700 garments over that time. Today it is hard to find suitable poly/cottons for trousers and shirts in fabric stores. Reading comments of buyers tells me that very few people are making their own garments any more. The manufacturers and stores have declining variety. After visiting a big Jo-Ann store a few days ago, I purchased 3 yards of a bottomweight poly/cotton, but was very disappointed with the available choices. The colors were not what I wished. But the fabric was of good quality and would serve the purpose of the garment. The declining variety is an issue of concern to me.

FANTASTIC!
this fabric is fantastic for my needs. I use it because it keeps its color with repeated laundry, resists staining, easy to sew, very durable, and keeps it's great look of crispness. Please do not discontinue.

I use it to make Lions vests. It works well because it is a heavier weight material.

A lot of stores around me don't carry the fabric I need. I either drive an hour to Dover Delaware or order from Joann online. They are the best

Great, sturdy fabric, but.......
This fabric is awesome. It washes well and keeps its color. But my last yardage was ordered online, and one of the colors was cut in 2 pieces, instead of 1 piece for the full yardage. Good thing I didn't need the full 3 yards for a cape or skirt train.

Best solution I've found for my projects
I would love to find a non stretch cotton version of this available in the colors that this is in but alas, no. But this fabric has a great feel, it's dense without being heavy, irons great, sews like a dream. And it drapes perfectly.

less than expected
I have ordered this fabric several times in past year (home business). I use TWO YARD lengths. I ordered 6 yards, and it came in 1- 5 yard length + 1 yard separate, and I was not consulted on that. I "made it work", but this is not acceptable. Also, the previous order of white had several "spots" on it which I never would have accepted if I had been there at the store,,,again, I "made it work", but am disappointed. History is, this has been a GREAT fabric, and very durable for my purpose.

The material was perfect for my project. I made Baptismal robes but forgot to take a picture I am trying to get one. Everyone that saw them thought they look great after the first of the year I may make more and then would order this fabric again,

I love this fabric!
It isn't thick but it is very sturdy, I used this for a slipcover in 2008 when it was called Trigger. Anyway I just washed it again and it came out beautifully! It is on the family room sofa so it sees a lot of use. Just beautiful can't say enough about how it wears and how easy it is to work with. Love it!

Easy to sew with
I love the fabric... It is really easy to sew with. I thought it was going to be a heavier canvas, but it still works well for what I bought it for.

So light!
I bought this a month ago and I'm finally working with it. I had to call Joanns when I initially received it because it was so thin. This fabric doesn't remind me of a canvas at ALLL. Not really satisfied.

Great colors!
I bought 2 colors of this material .... both were bright and vibrant. Quality seems good .... material is thick and will take a lot of wear.
I would buy this material again, and in fact, have on two more occasions.
My Joann's is 1 1/2 hours away so I must order on-line .... shipping sometimes takes awhile.

good for my purpose
I use this fabric to make silk screen prints on dark fabric, using a clear silk screening ink mixed with finely powdered bronze to achieve a brilliant gold color. The Sew Classic Bottomweight Canvas Target Solid fabric works very well for this purpose.

Wrong shade
I ordered 13 yards of the Potting Soil color and it is the wrong shade of brown. What I received has a rust brown tint. Is this common for this fabric and all others as well? I'm extremely disappointed.

What happen to the trigger???
I use to love this fabric. They have made it thinner!! You can actually see my adhesive right through it. Why do companies do this, "cheapin" products? I am willing to pay more, but stop ruining this great fabric!!!!
