Since we can't find rtw turtleneck sweatshirts I've been making them for him for a number of years. I like the rib knit because it holds up. The lycra helps it keeps it's shape. Ordering online and picking up at the store couldn't have been easier. Love the feature and will no doubt use again.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color not as represented The fabric itself is great but I feel the color was misrepresented in the photo. I thought it looked purple for being "navy" but I gave it a shot and I definitely received navy colored fabric. I was expecting a more purple fabric but I made do.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from I purchased this Sew Classic rib knit fabric, along with the Sew Classic Knit Aspen Rib 2x2 , not knowing the difference between the two. The Aspen Rib 2x2 knit is heavier and has a definite "rib" to it, while this Sew Classic rib knit fabric is lighter weight and has very narrow, much less defined ribs and looks more like t-shirt fabric. The Aspen Rib would be excellent for ribbed cuffs or a neckline, while the regular Sew Classic rib knit fabric would make a nice mid weight t-shirt or pajamas. Both are stretchy. I washed them both in cold water and machine dried on a cotton (hot) setting. This Sew Classic rib knit fabric did not shrink in width or length. The Aspen Rib shrunk 2 inches in length, but lost nothing in the width. I think this will make a great casual dress and am looking forward to trying it.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Knit, Nice Value I have used this to make a very nice knit turtleneck-type top. It has good recovery and is flattering and comfortable. Be aware of two things: modern cottons shrink much more than in the past, if you treat them as you used to. So you must buy extra, and preshrink in a bucket of very hot water. Second thing: this is knitted in a tube and if you need to "unfold" then you must do the cutting along a rib. This takes some time but it preferable to the manufacturing cutting it, where it is often off grain. I've seen a little pilling but not more than I would expect for a cotton knit.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from SHRINKS LIKE CRAZY I prewashed this fabric before sewing and thank goodness I did! a 2y piece came out of cold wash and med dryer setting at 66x37- so it lost 5" along the grain and 6" accross!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product Have used this product often. Sew for 3 granddaughters lots of knit clothing. Like this fabric because it is easy to sew and looks nice. Wash gently and hang to dry so have had no shrinkage problems. Like how the fabric doesn't stretch like some of its cheaper counterparts do. Increase in price usually means better cloth and this isn't bad!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice knit This is a nice rib knit. I made a prairie skirt for my daughter with it, and she loves the drap and flow of the material. Be sure to buy extra yardage and PREWASH - it does shrink a bit. Have fun!
