works for what I need
I ordered 15 yards - a full box, but it came in 3 separate pieces. Fortunately I am able to make the 3 pieces work. But forewarned, if you need one consecutive long piece, you may not receive it that way. I also did not receive the full 15 yards. The last piece was short by about 3 inches with soft side of Velcro.

Sew on Velcro
Easy to use. Great holding power. Used this to attach valances to top down bottom up Roman shades I made. One side of the Velcro was sewn onto valances and the other stapled to my mounting boards. Very pleased with the results.

Velcro for outdoor project

This is the cheapest way to buy Velcro
I use a LOT of Velcro for my sewing projects. Buying it on the spool is the cheapest way to purchase it (love coupons too!). Note that the spool has both the hook and the loop strips on it, although you can't tell that until you unroll the spool. Don't look for a second spool with the other half of the Velcro. It's all on one spool!

You can never have enough Velcro!
I purchased the entire 10 yd package of this Velcro for the drapes I am making for my outdoor "she-port". Because I live in a hurricane-prone area, I need to make something that I can take down quickly in the event a storm is headed our way. The Velcro is perfect for this purpose. This is a bit too thick to hand stitch through. Luckily I was able to use hot glue to adhere it to my fabric, as it was just for a child’s Halloween costume. The velcro stayed fastened together all night, even with the rough and tumble play of a toddler tugging on his costume.

Better than adhesive backed
This is better than the tape with adhesive on the back. The glue tape gunks up the sewing machine needle. This type does not.

A colorful all-colors option
I love that there were black and white options for this Velcro as some fabric matches better than others. Nice weight, good quality, and not the scratchy issues on the hook side that can occur with some Velcro for clothing items.

Velcro Sew-On No Thread Shred/Breakage
This product has been easy to work with. The side of the velcro has just enough margin to sew the velcro to the project without having the thread break from going through the velcro material itself. This was the only brand I will use because I am able to avoid thread shredding and breakage while sewing.
