Different that the photo. The item I received wasn't what shows in the photograph. No ring handle to make it easier to use by slipping on your ring finger to hold them in place. I'm not sure why the photograph is different than the product.

Don’t purchaseThese seem like they should be easy to use. The blades often cross each other and it doesn’t cut the little threads. It often frays the thread which renders it useless.

Easy to useI wish they came with a protective cover. Very sharp and easy to use though, they let you cut extremely close and at any angle.

Most horrible snips EVERIt is very simple to explain why these snips do not work: the blades don't touch. And the whole point of scissors is that they do touch. Do not buy this item, and don't believe the good reviews with 5 stars, I think the're fake!

Such a DisappointmentI was hoping these scissors would work out. If you have carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritic hands DO NOT BUY THESE. Very painful to grasp due to their small overall length. Another major drawback is a safety issue: these scissors do not lock shut or have a protective sheath. Going back to JA to buy different Fiscars scissors for rag quilting, etc.

Cuts thread, average performanceI have been using these for a couple of years now. At first I was disappointed because, when you simply hold them and try to cut, the blades do not touch enough to cut thread. I realized if I apply inward pressure, the blades will touch and these scissors will cut thread.
Sometimes the blades get slightly caught on the screwheads. This doesn’t usually prevent them from cutting, just adds a moment of resistances, and is not always a smooth cut.
I’m happy with the design of the handle on these. They are comfortable to hold. The plastic material and construction doesn’t seem top quality, but I also don’t have any worry of these falling apart. They have worked for me for years. However, if I ever need to buy new ones, I will look around at other options, but will not rule these out.

Just OkayThought these would be easy to use and would cut easily. It's like you have to squeeze them together for the blades to touch.

My Favorite Thread ClippersI don't understand the other reviews I love these clippers! They are the only ones I will use. I have tons of friends that sew and they also only use these clippers. I would 100% recommend them to anyone that sews and is not satisfied with what they are using to cut their thread. I have never had a problem with them!

Great SnipsI really don't understand most of these reviews. They must've put out a bad batch. I love my snips. I use them all the time. No issues at all. I love these things. They certainly makes sewing quicker and easier for me.

Didn't work wellI was very disappointed with these scissors. They couldn't cut anything! They weren't able to cut fabric or even thread! I ended having to buy a different style of small scissors.

Um, kinda bummed, not great...but they DO snip! They do what they say, so if I give them an honest review, I don't think there hasn't been a thread that they haven't nipped for me. I kind of just feel like I'm just waiting until they're going to fall apart.
After comparing other scissors that I have in the house and have recently bought, this was the brand that always just seem to be a cut above.... (um, excuse the pun) and they just seemed overall-to feel like they were made with more sturdy materials and they performed better.
That said, I did buy these particular ones because of the name. After looking at similar pairs from other brands, I just decided to go ahead and pay a bit more. I guess I was just surprised with the overall quality of these particular scissors.
The other thing was that I feel like they should've had some kind of cover for the blades. They are very sharp and very pointy and it just kind of feels strange to put them in my little craft bag without being able to protect us when reaching inside there to get them or other items. I just feel like I'm sticking a knife or something in a bag without being protected. Since my daughters use my bag as well, I just felt I had to make a little cover, just for my own peace of mind. So, I found some thicker vinyl like scraps of plastic I had left over from some other project, then I grabbed my tried-and-true duct tape! I was able to fashion might look kind of like a covering now I just slip it into that and then put it in my bag worked out great. Now we'll just see how long the scissors actually last.

Literally the WorstThese snips won't cut much of anything, let alone stray threads. The thread slips between the blades and the blades almost catch, making it hard to squeeze. Don't waste your money.

Disappointing at bestI talked myself out of a more expensive pair and regret it. These are flimsy and you have to 'chew' at the thread to actually cut out. I was looking for an easier cutting option when serging and these are not it.

GarbageThey don't really cut thread unless you squeeze really hard. Very disappointed. I guess it's time to look into the more expensive nippers that will actually cut and will last. Please don't buy these.

Don't BuyThese snips only cut threads about 40% of the time. The blades are not aligned close enough, so the thread gets caught in-between the blades. I am going to take these back and buy a different type of snips.

could be betterI was hopeful about these because of the brand. However, they do not feel like the same quality i have come to expect from Fiskars. The blades do cut thread but you have to squeeze hard because the two blades are not hinged but rather attached in one continuous piece of molded plastic.

GarbageYears ago I had a pair of these snips and they were great however this pair are nothing but a pile of garbage. Mine were in a blister pack marked Fiscars however once opened they do not have Fiscars written anywhere on the product. I had the original one for about 15 years and was always pleased with the quality however I lost them. These new ones won't even snip thread! Very poor quality.
