Soft and holds it's shape
I used this fabric as a lining. It has some give, but holds it's shape. Washes well and stays soft. Texture did not change.

Great for mask lining!
I use this for the lining of the masks I make. Nice and soft against the face and doesn't seem to make my face sweat as much as cotton does.

Not sheer at all; Useful as a lining
Note that this is totally unlike the usual sheer (non-stretch) black chiffon which absolutely requires a lining. This one is soft and drapes well and is closely woven enough without needing a lining. I agree with another commentator who said it is great for a slip. In fact it will work well as a lining to other sheer fabrics. However it only has a little stretch despite the 10% spandex in the product description. Joann has got to do better with more accurate product descriptions. Online customers will wrongly assume it is sheer like the regular black chiffon. I was fortunate because I was in the store and a helpful sales person alerted me that while it has stretch it is NOT sheer at all. I bought it anyway to use as a inner lining for my masks.

Great Fabric
So glad the store staff recommended this fabric. Wish I had known this fabric existed. Joann -- you guys really need to promote your fabrics more. Get your staff, sewists, influencers to help generate more "sewing enthusiasm"!!!

Nice
This fabric is very soft and flowing, would make a great sip dress for wearing under sheer dresses, it is lightweight. Also great for masks outer layer as it is tightly woven so it can filter out pathogens but it is also breathable. Easy to sew, great for many projects.
