Love this machine!

The Singer Fashion Mate a great little machine

New Sewing Machine Upgrade!
It's easy to set the thread and can move fast or slow. I'm not much for the length of the foot pedal and sometimes it seems trigger happy when pressed but all in all I'm very happy with my new sewing machine upgrade. I definitely recommend it!

Perfect for any and everything!
I absolutely love this machine! I used my mom’s when I was home from school, and now that I’ve moved out, this was the perfect fit, and boy oh boy how well it works for all the sewing I do! Attachements are easy to get on and works for anything you might need! Love this machine!

Big problem right out of the box.
The tension on this machine was not set right at the factory. I am an experienced sewer, love Singer machines, and can do minor adjustments and troubleshooting. I took the machine to a sewing repair shop, and it needed the upper and lower (bobbin) tension adjusted and to be oiled. Joann staff: I hope you send this to Singer.

Not Happy
The so called easy thread system is not that easy. It take me at least 15 minutes or more. I stop as I get so flustered and then try again several times and maybe get lucky. The thread breaks easily and then you have to start all over trying to thread the needle again. I looked at machines the other day and they all have this awful so called easy thread system.

Bought for my 10 year old granddaughter. This is a nice looking and adequate machine. The instruction booklet that I had to print online was inadequate. I learned more watching the tutorials on YouTube.

HARD TO THREAD AND USE
I bought this machine to have an extra machine for traveling. I have been sewing most of my life and know how to use a sewing machine. This does not work. Bobbin threader does not work. Stitches are terrible. Have tried everything and it is noisy. Do not buy this machine.

I wanted an easy to use sewing machine and found this one. It’s light, easy to set up and use. I’ve been sewing since I was 4 years old (with my Mom). I have already made new sofa pillows & bolsters. Love to make curtains. Ready to make shirts & skirts, too.

Easy to operate Sewing Machine
The machine is easy to use and simplifies making stitch selections. Once I watched the online video I really learned to appreciate the self-threading needle attachment. Lots of helpful videos online to help you understand the machine and to give you great tips on how to continue receiving good sewing results with your machine. Also helpful information on choosing needles, thread, for the project material you are using. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. It was worth the cost I paid.
