NO SAFETY CAP!!!!!
Beware!!! I know, I know. It’s doesn’t say so in the description, however, who would sell such a sharp object WITHOUT A SAFETY CAP??? Something that is often thrown into a sewing basket and rooted for blindly??? I have been sewing for over 50 years and have never seen a seam ripper for sale without a safety cap. It didn’t occur to me that I would need to check. There are other name brands offered on the Joann website close to or at the same price with a safety cap (found just now) so it’s not like it would have been a novel thing at the price point. But, I trust the Singer brand so I purchased theirs. Now I need to fashion some kind of protective cover that doesn’t touch the tip (so that it doesn’t dull the tip) and stays on securely. Such a waste of time and effort for such an inexpensive implement. Truly disappointed.

Singer Seam Ripper
I am terrible about losing seam rippers. I eventually find them and reuse them, but I buy a new one with most project purchases...just in case. Singer products last the longest and have a sharper cut angle.
