Embossed Sole Plate can mark fabric
I like the long auto off which means less lost time waiting for it to heat up again. However, I am bewildered by the decision to emboss your logo on the sole plate. The raised metal leaves oval grooves on some of our fabric which are hard to press out. Now if we want to keep using it we have to avoid using the center of the sole plate on some fabrics. Not impressed.

Are you kidding me with the embossed logo on the steam plate?
Pros: long auto off means that we don’t lose time in the shop waiting for it to heat up.
Cons: there is a big embossed S in an oval that leaves oval marks on some of our pressed projects. I can’t believe this design choice was made. It seems like the designers didn’t test it thoroughly.

Not Made to Last
I bought this less than 2 years ago. The first one started leaking the first time I used it, so I exchanged it at my local JoAnn. The second one lasted maybe a year and a half of infrequent use. It just suddenly wouldn't heat.
I sew slowly and sporadically, and it was used for maybe 20 hours over the course of its life. 20 hours is a generous estimate for how long it was used. I always unplug and drain it as soon as I'm done pressing, and never leave my iron on while I'm doing other tasks.
I gave this 2 stores because I liked using it, and it did the job well. Until it didn't. I'm disappointed by how quickly it stopped working.

do not buy.
so let down by this iron. It required a lot of pressure to use to begin with but now it's useless and doesn't heat up fully. I've only had it 7 months and now it's useless. I've used their sewing machines for years but I won't be using their irons ever again.

I bought this iron mainly because of the brand and simple design. it started leaking water so I did the self cleaning but it didn't fix the problem, I read the manual and it says it may happen if the temperature drops so I keep an eye on it and it keep doing it even at the right temperature. I keep it because by then it was past the 1 year warranty. Then last month I was making a dress and I had the iron on ready to iron my seams, I did that a few times, then I went to iron 1 seam, it burnt my fabric! like disintegrated. I had a low temperature because I was working with a synthetic fabric, then I noticed the iron was so hot it cracked open!

Beware - iron leaks
I was given this iron for Christmas and loved it for quilting projects. Unfortunately I can no longer use it as it leaks any water put into the reservoir for steam. When sitting it upright all the water will drain our from the end of the stainless steel plate as well as leaking water droplets onto fabric being ironed. I’m very disappointed, and see from reviews this is a problem others have experienced with this iron. Note - I have only used distilled water in the iron.
