Machine wouldn’t work
We could never get it to sew, brought it for a gift for my granddaughter. She threw the box away before I could me sure it would work. She was very unhappy because it wouldn’t work

Got the job done
Did the job for my daughter. After an hour she was ready to use mine. Felt like the sewing machine was going to fall apart. Going to keep it and pass it on down the line with our kids.

Just don’t
I bought this and returned it before taking it out of the box. My 9 year old son wants to learn how to sew. After speaking to a friend who works in another fabric store she said to return it and buy a basic beginner machine. I bought him a singer this morning online.

It's a TOY!
This is a TOY sewing machine. The stitches do not lock, therefore, it cannot be used for actual sewing. It was very disappointing as I purchased it for my granddaughter to use for simple sewing projects.

Threading does not work
For a sewing machine a child should be able to use, I found this beyond terribly frustrating. Its easier for a child to use a proper sewing machine. The guard on the needle prevents ease of threading the needle, and while sewing, the thread falls out of the needle after a few sticthes somehow....returning this product.

Total waste of money
Doesn't work to sew anything together. No instructions on what to do with it when it doesn't work (which is pretty much all the time). Totally disappointed child.

Don’t buy this toy sewing machine.
Piece of junk!!! Hard to thread, no way a child could do it. Absolutely void of tension causing the stitching to come loose. Should’ve put my money toward a real sewing machine. Granddaughter totally disappointed she can’t sew with her machine. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Avoid
I bought this as a Christmas gift and, while it was easy to use, the stitch would not hold! After watching video tutorials, I learned that we had to use the plastic needle that came with it to secure all of the stitches. I should have done my research before purchasing.

No bobbin stitch
this is not worth the money to invest in. has only top stitch and does not hold the stitch. don't buy it. I brought it from some where else I had to return for it is not functioning.

Do not buy.
I don't write a bad reviews, but I feel like I need to in order to prevent someone else from going through the frustration that I did with this thing. First of all, it's made of cheap plastic. It runs on 4 AA batteries. The 3 spools of thread that come with it only have about 15 feet of thread or less on each, and after the thread is gone, you would need to wind the thread around the spool yourself to be able to sew more. There was enough on one spool for my granddaughter to practice sewing on one piece of material. Second, in order to thread the sewing machine, you need to have magical skills, so NEVER let the thread come out of the needle. It look me 5 minutes just to get the thread through the needle, because there is a needle guard around it that is not removable, and you have to use a needle threader, which you will need to replace often because it gets bent out of shape trying to thread the needle just once. It was literally like finding a needle and threading it in a haystack. It is very light and slides all over the table when trying to use it. The tension knob is just for looks. The packaging says it is for 8 years and older. This would be suitable for a 4 or 5 year old just to pretend sewing, and you would need to invest a lot of time if you wanted them to actually "sew" with it, due to the complications of threading it. It could never be used independently by a child, because an adult would need to be on hand at all times to thread the needle every few minutes or wind more thread on to the spool, if that would even work. It's a weird combination between a toy and a cheap sewing machine, very disappointed and a waste of time.

Not a good product.
I bought two of the Singer E-Z sew machines for my granddaughters. I have been sewing since I was 11 years old. I have never worked on such an awful product. I call the Singer manufacturing company. The Rep who I spoke with stated this was not a real sewing machine but a toy. I wanted to sent these back to the company for a refund. The Rep stated to send the machines back at my own expense with the receipts and they will send new machines. I don't want a new machines. I want a product that doesn't frustrates children. I wanted to teach my granddaughters and instead I was angry that I purchased a poor product. Singer was a wonderful product in sewing machines. They should recall all the machines and make a better product.

Garbage
I wish I had read the reviews. I got this for my dear daughter. She was so excited on her birthday. So not buy. She tried to sew a simple heart bag and ended up crying in front of her beloved cousins. It would not sew anything. The threading pulls out. Luckily her cousins calmed her down. Now all she wants for her bday are her cousins.

Terrible purchase
I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter. Do not waste your money! The stitches pull out as no bobbin. The first night she sewed the needle caught in a chain stitch and broke the needle. You cannot replace the needle. To replace the machine it must be sent to manufacture at your expense. Very cheaply made. Cannot believe Singer put their name on it.

Not worth the money.
This product is too difficult for a child to operate. The stitches skip, the needle is hard to thread, and many fabrics won't feed underneath the feed dog. Also the presser foot races and bobbins can only be wound by hand.

Thing Not worth your Money
Daughter received one as Christmas gift. It’s only worth maybe $5.00. Know where near what it’s actually sold for!
It only good make holes in paper not anything else. Still trying figure out who it’s actually made by.
As it’s not made by Singer or company singer thought made it.

Disappointment
My 9yo daughter was so excited to get this for her birthday and when her grandma went to help her it didn't even sew. It was a huge disappointment for my daughter as she wanted to learn how and wad so excited to have her very own. Will be returning and wouldn't recommend anyone but this.

DO NOT BUY!
This looked like a perfect item for my 8 yr. old granddaughter but it's not worth buying. There is no bobbin thread therefore when you stitch 2 pieces of fabric together they just unravel. I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased it. It actually isn't a sewing machine at all because it doesn't work. I will teach her on my own Singer.

Terrible product
No way to change needles...needle that came with it broke after a few uses. Difficult to thread needle. Thread often got wound up on the spool holder instead of staying only on spool. Stitch tension kept changing on its own.

Do not buy!
I bought this for my 5 year old today and I will be returning it. Half the time the thread doesn't catch and no stitch is made. When the stitch is made it unravels just trying to get the fabric out from under the foot.

Don't waste your $$
I don't sew, but my 7 year old wants to so I used one of my 60% off coupons to get this for her with some lightweight small fabric squares. IT'S TERRIBLE!! I would say it's basically an expensive paperweight, but a paperweight doesn't frustrate you trying to get it to work!

Avoid this product.
This is the most frustrating, cheap and poorly constructed product I have ever dealt with. Trying to teach my 9 year old niece to sew with this was a waste of time. It is made of thin plastic, so much so that I have to tape it to the table to get it to stop moving when stitching. On top of that, the method of start end stitch is by hand, if you can manage to get your thumb in there in time to not unravel the stitch. Don't get me started on the impossible task of threading it around the guard over the foot.Huge waste of money.

Bought this without looking at the reviews: big mistake. Excited little girl all ready to sew except all her stiches came out immediately- not even worth it for practice. Had to give it 1 star- Do Not Buy This!

Does not work!
I bought this "sewing machine " for my daughter for Christmas, "IT'S JUST A TOY", it will not sew like the box states. "CREATE YOUR OWN PROJECT" .......NOT!

Horrible
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it's just horrible, does not sew at all... She is pretty upset and doesn't understand how Santa could bring a broken toy. We were using Gabri quarters to make her dolls pillow cases and the thread just unravels... Horrible product, very disappointed...

A piece of junk
Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She was so excited to get it. What a huge disssapointment. Don't waste time or money. Now I'm looking for something better so she won't be heartbroken. So wish I could score less than 1 Star.
