Great Value, but splits constantly
I have bought so many skeins of this yarn. The colors are great, but the yarn splits like crazy while working. I can get over this though for the fantastic work.

Really Fuzzy
I really love the big twist chenille yarn, but this one was really disappointing. I was working on a granny square blanket and had to scrap the 10 squares I already made because the yarn started fuzzing up so much it looked terrible. Won't use this kind of yarn from this brand again, unfortunately.

Great Acrylic Yarn
This is my first time purchasing Big Twist acrylic yarn, and I can honestly say I was impressed by the soft, stretchy, and lightweight quality. I ordered an assortment of colors that seem accurate in person as they appear as advertised online. The Cinnamon colored yarn is my favorite out of the 8 colors I purchased, but all the yarn colors were vibrant and beautiful overall. I also appreciate that all the yarn skeins came with the center pull end of the yarn sticking out slightly as this makes it easy to start using the yarn instantly without the frustration of looking for the middle pull on your own. I use a metal crochet hook when using this yarn, and noticed the yarn glides really well with the crochet hooks, not giving me any trouble that can lead to snags or splitting. The yarn does have some slight fuzzing but it seems minimal and is a feature that happens with any brand of acrylic yarn, but i like that this yarn brand did a good job in making the yarn structurally reliable and consistent. I usually prefer buying cotton yarn to acrylic yarn to avoid splitting or fuzzing that occurs with acrylic yarns, but this i’m thank to have found this brand of acrylic yarn because now those acrylic cons have been minimized as compared to other brands, making me comfortable to but this yarn again (especially at such a great price for the yardage as compared to pricier cotton yarn). I’m really happy I made this purchase and look forward to using more of this yarn in the future.

Big Twist Yarn
I bought 32 skeins of Big Twist at $2.49 and was well worth. There is nowhere you can get a skein of yarn that cheap! Thought, it was missing an item, but Joann's and their customer service did get the missing item to me within a few days. I found the yarn very reasonable priced at $2.49 a skein! And, you really cannot really get a skein of yarn for that. I am very satisfied with my order and quality of the yarn will be ordering from Joann's

Soft nice yarn
Just started crocheting a granny square afghan after many years. I've compared bt to rh. There is no comparison. Rh feels like steel wool. I've been gifted lovely things made from rh. They are nice to look at but I don't use them because they're scratchy. The big twist is soft. Beautiful colors.

Not good!
I will never buy this yarn again. The price might be good, but the quality of the yarn is terrible. I have a few skeins of various colors, that I'm gonna give away after I purchase a different brand of yarn. I would give the rating of zero if I could.

Already Got fuzzy not done with Throw
I got a pretty grass green color made a blanket with lots of cables, it’s a gift and unfortunately it’s become fuzzy and it looks like an old used blanket. It’s very soft. Very easily snags.

Quality control lacking
I bought 10 skeins of various colors of the big twist yarn. However, I’m thinking of returning 9 of them after using the first one and having multiple quality control issues. To start I found that 1/2 way through the skein two ends were tied together. Which I know can happen but combined with multiple weak areas that snapped when I tried crocheting because they weren’t strong enough made me very disappointed. If it had just been the one knot I wouldn’t have cared but the multiple snaps making me have to take extra time to fix things was just annoying.
I’ll probably go back to Lions Brand because I’ve never had an issue with quality control with them. I just loved the price tag on the Big Twist. But you get what you pay for.

same order different colors
I ordered 2 skeins of the soft purple at the same time. I have used one till gone and started on the next one and low and behold two different shades of soft purple. the first one I used is Lot# 646700 and MFG is 04/2023, now the second one is Lot# 649477 with a MFG of 8/2023. I am very disappointed as I am in the middle of a project .

I bought several skeins (variety of colors) all had matching lot numbers except the coral and those 2 skeins are different to the eye!! Joann has been very unresponsive as to getting this issue resolved. The store is an hour away!!

Beautiful color
Searched all over for the teal color find the perfect color needed for a Family member who has uterine cancer. Mixed it with Red heart, making the perfect afghan. Just do not like this particular yard is not for dryer. It is also not as thick as RH.

Great colors with a few cons
Large amount of yarn have been pulled outwards from the packaging. Varsity Yellow was the thinnest of the handful of 380 yard bundles I purchased as if some had been taken. However, only three of the yarns I purchased from Big Twist are lacking in size. The rest are excellent. The colors are vibrant and similar to what’s pictured online.

Very soft yarn
I’ve made several afghans with this yarn and they turn out beautiful. This yarn is very soft. I have not had any issues finding the ends or any other problems some people mention. So far, the color lots have all matched on multiple orders. I love the price of it as well you can’t beat it!

Never Again!!!
The problem is not with the product but with Joann's. I placed my order on 12/31/23, they didn't ship until 1/9/24. It is now the 20th of January, The Fedex delivery was supposed to be here last Tuesday, then Thursday, now it's out for delivery but the delivery date is pending!

My new favorite brand
I love this yarn so much. I'm trying to switch to big twist because red heart's quality has changed and it's not as soft (I have some red heart yarn from more than 5 years ago and it's way softer than what they're selling now). My one issue is that I ordered 6 different colors and used each of them to exact same amount (within a few inches) and the mustard color had significantly less yarn than the rest if the skeins. I was able to complete my project but I didn't have enough left over to finish making a matching coaster. The other skeins probably have triple the amount left over.

Hot Pink
I am absolutely in love with the hot pink color of this yarn. Even though it's budget yarn, the color is gorgeous. Very deep and rich. Also, I feel like it doesn't have that plastic sheen to it. Some of the other colors of this yarn do. It's on sale right now. I came online to buy more!

My go-to yarn for worsted weight projects - great value
I use this yarn all the time - it’s great for amigurumi! I normally use a 3mm hook to obtain tight stitches & the yarn glides easily. Can’t beat the price, either.
