Gorgeous, Easy to Work With
I bought this fabric in Cobalt to make my daughter's prom dress. It worked up beautifully on the sewing machine! I used Magic Clips to hold the pieces together, and I didn't find it too slippery (which I was worried about). Used a stretch needle on it and a stretch stitch for the seams. Straight stitched the hem. Loved it!

Disappointed
While the fabric feels decent, I'm very disappointed because the color I ordered is NOTHING like how it is pictured online. I ordered the color "Surf the Web" which is pictured online as a very pretty, shimmery, light purple/blue color. The fabric I received is more like a navy - much closer to the color "Cobalt". It's pretty, but definitely not what I ordered/expected. Honestly, I'm wondering if I received the wrong order...

Satin is pretty, but not stretchy
I bought this satin thinking it was going to have stretch. It did not at all. I wouldn't have bought this if I knew it was like any other regular satin fabric.

Sharp pins and new sewing machine needle are required so fabric doesn’t pull. Not a good beginners fabric, many years ago I think it could have caused me a lot of trouble. Beautiful fabric and the non-prom dress was wonderful. Great color and drape with enough stretch to create beautiful lines.

Great fabric but need more color options
Great material, heavy with good stretch and feels so nice against the skin. I love the casa line especially their matte satins too. My only real complaint is that they discontinued alot of colors. Some of the new colors are nice, but I'd wish they'd bring back basic colors like hot pink and grass green. I feel like they've got such a wide range of pastels, grays, and blues, but thats about it.
