This bleached cotton batting comes in pure white color, so it does not show through the outer cover fabric. The ideal way to use this white batting is with white tone-on-tone fabrics or soft pastels. It is light, smooth and uniform and is a great choice for clothing. This low-loft batting is easy to needle too.

Very useful batting
Good batting. Very useful and easy to use. I machine quilt many of my quilts and the batting worked well. It does shrink a bit with washing but I closely quilted it and this decreased the issue.

This is the best batting i have found for hand quilting. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the shedding. Creates so much cotton dust. Its worth the dust bunnies for the ease of quilting.

Not just quilt batting!
I have used this product in a variety of ways. Of course I’ve made quilts with it and was very pleased with its ease of use and consistent quality. But I’ve found several other uses for it as well, such as stuffing my crocheted puffy squares to make a puffy afghan. It stays in place and doesn’t shift around. Great quality and ease of use.

NOT 100% cotton
The description of the product states "Content:100% cotton". On the back of the package, which you can't see in the photo of the product, it states "All new material consisting of bleached cotton 87.5% Polypropylene.12.5%". This was purchased for a project that requires 100% cotton, thus is a waste of money for me. Usually pleased with Joann online - not this time.
