Have used these thimble pads for a few years for my hand quilting....I'm on a long project....they work great and are the only one that a flexible enough to push the needle through the layers and grab on the exit as needed. There are 12 of them in a pkg and fit perfectly on the end of my middle finger..... And they were on sale....BONUS!!!

I kept losing my grip on the needle as well. These work great to protect my fingers and also provide grip. Easy on and off. I reuse mine until they don't stick anymore so 1 pack will last almost a year.

I love hand-sewing my baby blankets and projects. It is so relaxing to me, until I stab myself, as happens with this hobby. These pads eliminate this problem. I use very sharp applique needles that can pierce my finger from the threaded end with other thimbles. These Thimble Pads provide great protection, without being bulky, for all types of needles I've used. I have been using the same pad over and over again. It has very strong adhesive. Highly recommended!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you hate thimbles... I have never liked the feel of a thimble on my finger and have tried many different sizes and types. These little pads don't look like much, but do they ever stick and get the job done. You won't even know that you have one on until you realize that your finger doesn't hurt. If you peel it off carefully and put it back on the packaging, it can be re-used. How many times? Not certain because I am still using the same one after almost a year.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These I do a lot of cross-stitching and I found these about ten years ago. I'm just now purchasing another package of them. They really last a very long time! I am able to do my needlework for hours on end since I'm not digging the needle into my fingertips. The only complaint I have is that after a couple of hours the adhesive can give out, however, I find that if I just stick it on the frame for a few minutes, they stick again wonderfully for another couple of hours.

I use them for every type of hand sewing - perfect for hand quilting, cross stitch, embrodery, etc. In fact they are the only kind I use nowdays, my suggestion -do what I've done - use these exclusively and put that old metal or leather finger type thimble on a shelf in honor of our mother's and grandmother's!
