SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 1/8yd each of light gold, dark gold, light blue, dark blue, light green, dark green, light lilac, dark rose solid cotton fabric
  • 5 1/2yd fabric for backing
  • 3/4yd fabric for binding
  • Twin size batting
  • Rotary cutter, ruler & mat
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Iron & pressing surface
  • Sewing machine

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Read all instructions before cutting and sewing. Use accurate 1/4" seams.
  2. Cut each of the eight colors into two 18" x WOF pieces.
  3. Subcut each color into 3"x 18" strips as follows: 16 strips each of light and dark gold; 18 strips each of light green, dark green, light lilac and dark rose; 20 strips each of light blue and dark blue.
  4. Following Diagram A color chart sew strips into 4 vertical rows.
  5. Press Rows 1 and 3 seams upward and press Rows 2 and 4 seams downward for easy nesting. Sew rows together as shown in diagram.
  6. Sandwich backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt as desired.
  7. Trim and bind quilt. It will finish at approximately 70" x 90".
