Honeymoon is over...
I previously gave this product 5 stars. Instead of putting the dissoluble dye packet in the squirt bottle, I cut it open and funneled the dye into the empty bottle. I pasted with a small amount of water before adding the remaining ounces. I had NO PROBLEMS with 5 batches done this way. On the 6th batch, I cut off half the packet material and put the remaining dye packet directly into the bottle. I pasted again. Shook for over a minute. BOO! There it was... the mucus-like substance plugging the spout of the squirt bottle. Numerous stops in the dye process to use a toothpick to unplug the globs. A lot of undissolved dye was wasted along with the Time it took to remedy the problem...and the mess. So, GOOD BYE 5 stars. Hopefully the final results will still be great.

dye for wedding table runners
After a lot of research on the dye process I bought this product because there was minimal measuring a mixing. I was able to do both long edges of 2 pieces of 100% cotton fabric that were 3 yards long. The color was a pictured after waiting the suggested 8 hours. It did take a LONG time to rinse out the excess dye. But the results are good enough that I am going to finish the project with this brand.

Worked well, difficult to dissolve
The final results were as expected, but the instructions have you put the packet of dye in the bottle and then add water. Even with warm water the dissolving outer packet would turn into a gelatin like goop that would clog the bottle. Even after shaking and shaking, the lumps would not disolve. The sticky goop was also very difficult to wash out of the fabric during rinsing. I much prefer the prefilled bottles that come with the dye powder at the bottom.

Red dye is orange/yellow
Bought the red dye along with blue for 4th of July shirts and was very disappointed. The red dye turns into orange and yellow, ruined 7 shirts.

Easy to use!
I bought the tie dye refills for my scout troops t-shirts. We didn't need a bunch of colors, so I went in search of single colors and found these refills. They worked perfectly, once I realized the plastic was the dissolvable kind. That was the only downside. The first packet I took out of the foil sleeve, cut the plastic open and had the hardest time getting the powder out. Water got onto it as I was attempting to put it in the bottle and it started dissolving. Then life got much easier! Used the dye on 15 tshirts(I had 6 refill sleeves total) and the shirts look great. The dying process was quick, the dye spread onto the shirts the way I wanted them too.

Extremely Disappointed!
I bought four packs (12 dissolving packets total) of red dye to tie dye 30 shirts for a team. All of the shirts were white and purchased at the same store. The team followed the directions and tie dyed their shirts at the same time, but the shirts came out different colors, none of them RED! They were varying shades of pink, orange and yellow. Very disappointing when your team color is red!

Terrible product did not dissolve. Clogged the tip of the bottle. Color did not set. 2 packs of red made barely pink on 100% cotton shirt. What a complete waste of money.

convinient and reliable for tie-dying fanatics!
I tried many options for my T-Shirt dying supplies, finding I'd rather go to my local Jo Ann's, with the awesome selection of products. I recently bought some needed blue dye, and was happy to find these "refills". And, with the latest Jo Ann's coupon discounts I received in my e-mail box I got an affordable supply of just what I needed to start my next tie-dye project as soon as I got home that afternoon!

Great value!
I saved the bottles from previous projects and hated to spend the $$ for a kit when I really only needed the dye. These are perfect! The packets DO dissolve...I always add warm water and shake vigorously for a full minute. Much cheaper to buy them this way (especially if you have a coupon!)).

I tie dye for my shop and the color from this product is awesome. The packets dissolve for me. Just keep shaking. Waylter should be room temperature.

Not good at all.
Bought this because I already have the Tulip tie dye bottles. Seemed easy enough...put dissolvable packets of dye into the bottle, add water and shake. The only problem is the dissolvable packets don't fully dissolve and clog up the bottles and leave and nasty snot like slime on the fabric you are dyeing.
