Wonderful
I purchased this yarn to make a sweater and was very pleased. The yarn worked up well and the colors were true to what was shown. I already had the MustArd color of Big Twist in my stash and only needed the coffee brown and cream.

Very Disappointed in Quality
I recently bought two big twist cream colored yarn to make two individual baby blankets. Not only could I not find the center but when I did, it was all tangled, and several times came across small pieces of cut yarn individually several inches long. It has taken me forever to make this small blanket as I have to keep untangling from the outside as well. I have purchased big twist many, many times, and have never had a problem that I have had this time.

Love it!

Out of stock after it's been ordered...
I love this yarn but found out they canceled my order with no notice. Only to discover they have it available at the local shop. Why not just ship it from there? So frustrating.

Disappointed
I purchased the Big Twist yarn for the first time to crochet a throw for a gift . I loved the colors and the softness of the yarn. It was also easy to work with and my project turned out beautifully. However when my project was completed I usually attach the washing instructions, and to my surprise I noticed the label on the Big Twist yarn said you can’t tumble dry. The yarn is 100% acrylic. Can someone explain why it’s not machine dryable? I belong to a crochet group and I will certainly not recommend this yarn. I’m very disappointed

Between JoAnn and PayPal they've managed to ship my order to the wrong address with zero resolution available aside from hoping whoever receives it denies and returns it. Wish I could cancel my order on either end. This is the last time I'm ordering from Joann's.

I ordered 2 of the skeins of value pound yarn and have only received one at this time. I love the feel of the big twist. Will never go back to red heart. I am getting ready to start my project, just need the rest of my yarn so I can do it.

Big Twist Pound Plus Yarn...EXCELLENT!

Not very pleased
I ordered 14 skeins of big twist and I received 7 then a week later I got 2 I'm still due 5 . But the green I received I'm not very pleased with I have had to cut it a number of times I don't like that because I don't like having all these ends that's why I bought this yarn. On these one I can say your quality control is not good there was a spot on the outside that was very clear it was all pulled apart I would say who ever bagged my order should have seen it. Again I hope the rest is better than this or I will not order again. Don't know how come it was a split order because everything was supposed to be in stock. Hope you start doing a better job.

So many pieces
I originally bought this yarn because I want d to make a cardigan and didn’t want to weave as many ends because that’s the worst. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the center of my skein and the entire middle came out in a completely separate piece. It ended up being 5-6 separate pieces shoved into each other like nesting dolls. One of the chunks is so knotted I don’t know if it’s worth trying to save it. I doubt I’ll be able to return it the way it is now so I’m out the price of the skein. I definitely won’t be buying another one of these.

Order Canceled for no Reason
I tried to purchase this then my order never shipped and says canceled even though the product is in stock. Never got an email saying my order was canceled either. Thanks Joann’s shopping elsewhere now.

Buy the big thing of yarn, they said. It'll be easier, they said. Once I got about halfway through the skein, it devolved into a big jumble of knots. I had to spend a couple hours pulling it out, unknotting and rewinding it. It's cheaper, but I think it's easier working with a couple smaller things of yarn.

New Option...Love It!
I have a shop where I sell mostly custom made afghans. I've used Big Twist Value Yarn for several years now and the only time I had a problem was with a very specific pattern where the back ends up with a LOT of open stitches (Peppermint Candy Throw). I have a top loader (OLD) washer and the yarn got caught on the agitator and broke. Every other project has washed and dried well with minimal pilling. So, my latest project is a very huge afghan done in overlay mosaic. Mosaic uses a huge amount of yarn so quality plus cost is a real factor. I started using a regular skein of value yarn (white) and then saw the pound yarn in white. I gave it a try. Dye lots were a concern. There is absolutely no difference between the pound yarn and the regular smaller skeins in either quality or dye. The pound plus is almost equal to 3 of the small value skeins so if you bought 3 regular skeins at sale price and the pound plus is on sale as well, you save some money. Personally, I really enjoy the large pound size skeins if they are decent quality. The skein does pull out nicely from the center once you get it established and tangles have not been a problem like some other major brands! I highly recommend this pound plus size. Because it is literally larger than a pound it will always be the better deal cost wise. If you do big projects, give this a try!

Enough for a big project.
I bought this yarn to make a Christmas present and it has worked up really well. It has a good size amount of yarn for a bigger project, but would probably need more if you're doing something bigger than a cardigan. Overall I think this is a good skein of yarn!

Worse yarn I have ever used!
I bought this yarn for a project and wound up throwing it away! I could not find the beginning or end and it was a mess. I'll stick to the Caron One Pounders in the future.

You can't find the middle beginning yarn. I had to wind ball after ball before I could even crochet with it. Please make it easier to find the middle end of the yard.

Will never go back
I usually use red heart super saver but that’s been giving me blisters on my hands for how rough it is now. I went out and got this today in the color watermelon and I am in LOVE! It is so soft and such a great price for the amount. I’m never going back!
