    1. Cut two reverse sock pattern nap down. Set aside. Cut fabric for 1/2"x 8" hanger, one @ 2"x 8". Double fold 8" edges to center. Press. Sew close to folds. Set aside. Cut cuff, one interfacing 10"x 17". Fuse to WS of velvet, nap down 10" H. Cut velvet. WST fold short side in half to 5". Press. Open fold. Beading and trim applied to 5"x 17" side with nap down, cut edge at top.
    2. Beaded stocking: Transfer baste lines from cuff pattern to interfacing. Baste lines. Sew on beading following lines and provided pattern. Do not attach beads within 3/4" of side seam. Secure thread to fabric at one end of baste. Load beads for length of baste line onto thread. Sew thread to opposite end of beading line. Bring thread back through fabric looping over beading thread between each bead to hold line secure to velvet.
    3. For beads attached with adhesive use small lines of Power Tac to adhere a small section of beads at a time. Bugle beads hold fast to velvet with Gorilla Super Glue. Test glue beads on scrap of fabric. Use tweezers to place beads. Toothpick may be used to slightly adjust placement of beads and to immediately remove any excess glue or glue strings. Do not attach any beads within 3/4" of cuff sides until stocking is assembled.
    4. Trim stocking: Dry fit all trim. To match beaded stocking use trims in same color range and textures as beads. Layout in similar pattern to beaded cuff keeping top of trim 3/4" from top cut edge.
    5. When detail beading/trim complete on cuff place WST at fold, baste 1/4" from raw edges. WST sock sides. Sew 1/4" SA from toe side top corner down to toe. Trim seam and zig zag edge. Open out sock, WSU. Fold 1/2"x 8" hanger in half. Place both tail ends of hanger 1" above top edge of sock, 1" in from top left corner. Sew over tails 1/4" from top edge of sock. Lay cuff RSU. Lay sock RSU on top of cuff matching top corners. Sew 1/2" from top edges. Flip cuff to RS of sock. Press seam.
    6. Optional: Add horizontal topstitch close to bottom edge of top beading or trim. Or add a bead of Power Tac 1" from seam under cuff. This will prevent the top seam from rolling. Place sides of stocking RST. Pin sock sides 1/4" in from side edges of cuff. Sew sock to cuff 1/2" in from edges of cuff (only cuff area, this will prevent shifting of fabric layers). Trim cuff edges 1/4". Line up cuff side trim and sock sides. Sew 1/4" SA from top edge to toe. Zig zag edge. Turn stocking RSO. Press sock seams. Finish beading surrounding side seam and remove any visible baste stiches.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Simple project, but not for beginners This is a nice pattern and an overall simple project, but not a good project for beginners. I am an advanced sewer, and I had to look up several things that were not included in the pattern, and had to double check acronyms that are not always used. Does not include yardage, I purchased 5/8 yard to account for the nap, and that was appropriate. Does not have assembly instructions, so if you are not familiar with garment construction, can be confusing the order to put pieces together.
