Fun and easy
This tool is very easy to use. I got this because several videos I watched recommended getting a wood burner that had a heat dial, and I think this is perfect and not extremely expensive.

Not So Hot
This burner is just that...not so hot!
Sometimes the burn is working, but then randomly starts to cool off right in the middle of the burn. This is EXTREMELY frustrating!
I'm now shopping for a different burner capable of detailed designs, one with heat consistency.

Too expensive
The extra tips are Super expensive. It gets hot fast and you can't use any other pen on the machine or vice versa. Waste of money.

Great wood burner
This wood burner is really nice. It is easy to use and did not burn my fingers. The tips are easy to change and cool down time is quick. Super simple and easy to handle. I recommend this wood burner for any skill level. I had some experience with another kind and found this one to be much better. Great quality.Even if you have never used a wood burner , this one would be the perfect one to start with. If you are looking for a great burner this is the one!

Didn't last
I was do excited when this came out a few years ago, but it didn't last. The heat was never hot enough even at highest setting, the tips aren't that great. I like my other cheap brand a lot better.

Creative Woodburner Disappointed
I purchased this some time ago with a 50 percent off coupon and a gift card. I don't know if the one that I have is defective or not but it does not get hot unless it is on the highest setting and even then it does not burn and is not consistent with heat. The tips seem flimsy as well. I will give it another try but I feel like it won't be any different. Wish that i didn't purchase this. I would have liked to give this zero stars but it wouldn't let me post without a rating.

Wood burning tool
This wood burning tool works very poorly. In all honesty it might be worse than the cheaper burners. The heat doesn’t get very hot and the wood won’t burn unless you have it on the highest setting. Very displeased with my purchase.

Great Product and Easy to learn and Use

Doesn't get hot enough
I purchased this in September 2018, shortly after its release. I was so excited to upgrade from the Creative Versa-Tool. The first few times I used it, I really liked it. But as time went on, it seemed to stop working as well. I really appreciate that it heats up and cools down so quickly, but even the highest setting barely makes a mark on wood now. It's only use now would be for light shading work. I've switched back to using the Creative Versa-Tool and wish I could return this and invest in a better product.

Just okay.
I bought this tool on sale a few months ago. Unfortunately, even with proper and gentle care, the ball point tip bends sometimes when it gets hot. It also quickly loses heat which makes burning take substantially longer. I'm not doing really major projects either so the fact that a smaller burn takes a long time is frustrating. When it is hot, it burns smoothly, but that's only when the heat comes through. I don't think it's worth the money though.

Excellent wood burner
This is a really exciting new addition to the walnut hollow line of craft tools. Finally, wire tips are becoming the standard for pyrography enthusiasts. Although the classic soldering iron style pen is certainly useful, this walnut hollow woodburner is appropriate for all skill levels and allows for beautifully intricate detail, unlike the soldering iron. With this tool, wood burning is fun, productive, and very safe*

Fine-tipped wood burner takes art to new level!
I have experience with Walnut Hollow products and wood burning tools, but I have never been able to have the flexibility of the fine-tipped wood burner that I've seen from tools in much higher price ranges. The Creative Woodburner is easy on the fingers, as it is very comfortable. It is affordable, and changing out the tips is a breeze. The quick cooling of the tips and consistency of the heat makes for a more productive studio experience when wood burning. The only improvement that needs to be taken into consideration is storage of the tips and tip puller. Once removed from the package, you will need a safe place to keep these items, as there is no storage box for them. I look forward to future releases of additional tips.
