Great Rustic Flare!

Caution, Wood Split
Purchased ArtMinds small round basswood coasters from in-store (about 9” diameter) for project with class. Made a light, basic test carving. Removed sticker label, but still had sticky residue. Used dish soap and water to remove, when wood cracked loudly. Wanted to write this so others won’t have to experience the same thing. Maybe needs different method to remove label sticky residue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Be forewarned that these come in different sizes. I was expecting an 11-12" size for a project. I ordered online, I'm a high risk senior, waited 2 weeks for item to arrive and it measured 8.5", not suitable for my project so I had to mask up and go into the store and I found the last one they had which measured 11" with a crack in it. So I exchanged it, even exchange.... Very frustrating since I paid for shipping and shop online to be safe.

Great slab for a cake!
This was exactly what I was looking for to set my son’s cake on! It was used for a one year cake smash photoshoot! The wood does chip off on the sides but I love how rustic it is.
